The Argentina national futsal team represents Argentina during international futsal competitions. It is governed by the Asociación del Fútbol Argentino.

Contents

Argentina has qualified and participated in all eight FIFA Futsal World Cup tournaments and along with Brazil, Spain and Portugal are the only national teams that have won the FIFA Futsal World Cup, having won it in 2016. Argentina has also won the Copa América three times, in 2003, 2015 and 2022. Argentina is ranked 4th in the FIFA Futsal World Rankings.

In FIFUSA/AMF, Argentina won the 1994 FIFUSA Futsal World Cup and 2019 AMF Futsal Men's World Cup.

In IBSA, los Murciélagos have been crowned world champions twice in the Blind Soccer/Futsal World Championship, and in 2015 won its third world title: the IBSA World Games 2015. Los Murciélagos also won the Blind Futsal Copa Amèrica. Only Brazil and Argentina have won the Blind Futsal Copa Amèrica.

The Brazil national futsal team represents Brazil in international futsal competitions. It is under the direction of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). The team is considered to be the strongest in the world earning a record three straight championships in the FIFA Futsal World Cup. Brazil also holds a record eleven championship wins in the South American Futsal Championship also known as the Copa América de Futsal and five wins in the Taça América de Futsal. As of September 2024, Brazil is ranked first in the Futsal World Rankings. Brazil has played in all 10 FIFA Futsal World Cups and has finished in the top three nine times, reaching the finals seven times and winning six titles, which includes the recent Futsal World Cup in 2024. The team has the best overall performance in the World Cup competition both in proportional and absolute terms. As of 2024, Brazil has a winning record against every nation they have faced in their history, winning over 89% of the matches and losing 5% of them.

It was founded on 25 July 1971 as the International Futsal Federation (FIFUSA) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; on 1 December 2002, the organization was replaced, changed its name to Spanish version Asociación Mundial de Futsal (AMF).

The Colombia women's national futsal team represents Colombia in international women's futsal competitions. It is overseen by the Colombian Football Federation in FIFA competitions and by the Fecolfutsal in AMF competitions.

The Canadian national futsal team represents Canada in international men's futsal competitions. They are overseen by the Canadian Soccer Association, the governing body for soccer in Canada.

Dario Aldo Lencina is an Argentine 5-a-side football player and current head coach of the Argentine women's 5-a-side football team. He has represented Argentina 5-a-side football team for over 20 years and has represented Argentina at the Paralympics on four occasions in 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016. He is also a two time World Championship winner in 2002 and 2006 with the national team.
