The 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup was an international futsal tournament to held in Lithuania from September 12 to October 3, 2021. The 24 national teams involved in the tournament were required by FIFA to register a squad of 16 players, including three goalkeepers. Despite this, each team can only use 14 players per match.
This article lists the national futsal squads that take part in the tournament. The age listed for each player is as of September 12, 2021, the first day of the tournament, and the names of the players shown are that of the FIFA Display Names listed on the official squad document issued by FIFA.

The Japan national football team, also known by the nickname Samurai Blue, represents Japan in men's international football. Since the 22nd of December 2022, the Japan national football team has been the best national team in AFC for almost 2 years in a row.

The team won the gold medal at the 2010 Asian Games and were champions in the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship. Since 1992, it was decided that teams targeting athletes under the age of 23 will participate in the Olympics. The 2017 Toulon Tournament was an international association football tournament held in Bouches-du-Rhône, France. The twelve national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of 20 players; only players in these squads were eligible to take part in the tournament. Each squad was composed of Under-20 players. All ages as of start of the tournament.
The women's football tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan was held from 21 July to 6 August 2021. The women's tournament was a full international tournament with no restrictions on age. The twelve national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of 18 players, including two goalkeepers. Additionally, teams could name a maximum of four alternate players, numbered from 19 to 22. The alternate list could contain at most three outfielders, as at least one slot was reserved for a goalkeeper. In the event of serious injury during the tournament, an injured player would be able to be replaced by one of the players in the alternate list. Only players in these squads were planned to be eligible to take part in the tournament. On 2 July, FIFA confirmed that there was a change for the 2020 Olympics, allowing all 22 players named to be available on the roster, with 18 being named for each match. This change was implemented due to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. The official squad lists were released by FIFA on 7 July 2021, with the athletes originally named as alternates assigned the numbers 19 through 22. The IOC also confirmed that a player must appear on at least one 18-player matchday roster to be considered an Olympian and to receive a medal.
