Greenville Liberty SC is an American women's soccer team, that began play in 2022 in USL W League. They are affiliated with Greenville Triumph SC, a men's team in the USL League One.

History

On June 8, 2021, Greenville Triumph SC announced that they would create a women's team that would be one of the eight founding members of the new W League. [1] Fans chose the name Greenville Liberty, which was announced along with the team colors and crest, on March 23, 2022 . [2]

The Liberty won their first game by defeating the Charlotte Independence women's team 4-2 on May 15 in Charlotte. [3] They won their home debut by defeating the North Carolina Courage U23s 6-1 on May 20. [4]

Union Omaha finished the regular season in second place to qualify for the USL League One final to take place against Greenville Triumph, however the game was canceled due to an outbreak of COVID-19 on the Union Omaha roster. They will play their home games at Legacy Early College Field. John Harkes will be managing the club for his fourth season. Greenville finished in 2nd-place the previous season, losing the 2021 final to Union Omaha.

The 2022 Central Valley Fuego FC season was the first season in the club's existence. It marks the return of professional soccer to Fresno since USL Championship club Fresno FC dissolved in October 2019. The club will play its first season in USL League One in the third division of the American soccer pyramid. They will play their home games at Fresno State Soccer Stadium on the campus of Fresno State University.

The 2023 Union Omaha season will be the fourth season in the soccer team's history, and their fourth season in the third division of American soccer, USL League One. This will be the team's first season without head coach Jay Mims, after the club announced his resignation on December 16. He was replaced by Dominic Casciato, who was most recently an assistant coach at El Paso Locomotive of the USL Championship. Union Omaha will play their home games at Werner Park, located in Papillion, Nebraska, United States.
