Gregory Allen Brock (born June 14,1957) is a retired baseball player who played for 10 seasons in Major League Baseball. A first baseman for his entire major league career,he split his time evenly between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers.
Brock was born in McMinnville,Oregon,the son of Joe Brock,who coached baseball at Stayton High School. [1] Greg played for his father at the school,and in 1995 had his jersey retired. [1] [2] Brock attended the University of Wyoming. [3]
In 1013 games over 10 major league seasons,Brock posted a .248 batting average (794-for-3202) with 420 runs,141 doubles,6 triples,110 home runs,462 RBI,41 stolen bases,434 bases on balls,.338 on-base percentage and .399 slugging percentage. Defensively,he recorded a .994 fielding percentage as a first baseman. In the 1983 and 1985 National League Championship Series,he hit only .048 (1-for-21) with 3 runs,1 home run,2 RBI and 2 walks in 8 games.
Billy Leo Williams is an American former left fielder and coach in Major League Baseball (MLB) who played from 1959 to 1976,almost entirely for the Chicago Cubs. A six-time All-Star,Williams was named the 1961 National League (NL) Rookie of the Year after hitting 25 home runs with 86 runs batted in (RBI). A model of consistent production,he went on to provide the Cubs with at least 20 home runs and 80 RBI every year through 1973,batting over .300,hitting 30 home runs and scoring 100 runs five times each. Along with Ernie Banks and Ron Santo,Williams was one of the central figures in improving the Cubs' fortunes in the late 1960s after the club had spent 20 years in the bottom half of the league standings. His 853 RBI and 2,799 total bases in the 1960s were the most by any left-handed hitter in the major leagues.
Louis Rodman Whitaker Jr.,nicknamed "Sweet Lou",is an American former professional baseball second baseman. Whitaker spent his entire career with the Detroit Tigers. From 1977 to 1995,he appeared in 2,390 games for the Tigers,third most in franchise history behind Ty Cobb and Al Kaline. He helped the Tigers win the 1984 World Series,was selected as an American League All-Star five consecutive years (1983–1987) and won four Silver Slugger Awards and three Gold Glove Awards (1983–1985). The Tigers retired his No. 1 jersey in August 2022.

John Emil Jaha is an American former first baseman in Major League Baseball who had a 10-year career from 1992 to 2001. He played for the Milwaukee Brewers and Oakland Athletics,playing in both the American League and National League. He was elected to the American League All-Star team in 1999.

Walter Edward "Jiggs" Parrott was an American professional baseball player whose career spanned eight seasons,four of which were spent with the Major League Baseball (MLB) Chicago Colts (1892–95). Although the majority of his career was spent in the major leagues,Parrott also played minor league baseball. He got his start playing amateur baseball with the East Portland Willamettes. His professional baseball debut came in 1890 as a member of the Portland Webfeet. Parrott was the first MLB player from Oregon. He stood at 5 feet 11 inches (180 cm) and weighed 160 pounds (73 kg). His brother,Tom Parrott,was also an MLB player and a teammate of his on the Chicago Colts.
