HYC Herentals is a professional ice hockey team based in Herentals, Belgium. They play in the BeNe League and are known, for sponsorship reasons, as ERA Renomar HYC Herentals.

History

The club was founded in 1971. They won their first of nine Belgian Hockey League titles in 1981. [1] In 1986, Herentals won the inaugural Belgian Cup. They have won the cup eight more times since. In 2010, it switched from the Belgian Hockey League to the North Sea Cup, a combined Belgian-Dutch elite league. When the North Sea Cup disbanded only two years later in 2012, it joined the Eredivisie.

As with many ice hockey clubs in the Benelux countries, HYC Herentals operates teams at several levels. The HYC Herentals second team plays in the Belgian Hockey League.

The 2004–05 UPC-ligaen was the 66th season of Norway's premier ice hockey league, Eliteserien, which as of this season became known as the UPC-ligaen after UPC had acquired the naming rights for five years. Vålerenga won both the League Championship and the Norwegian Championship, completing their nineteenth "double". A total of ten teams contested the league, including newcomers Comet who competed at the highest level for the first time.

The 2010–11 GET-ligaen is the 72nd season of Norway's premier ice hockey league, Eliteserien. The regular season began on 18 September 2010 and is scheduled to end on 27 February 2011.

The White Caps Turnhout are an ice hockey team in Turnhout, Belgium. The White Caps play in the Belgian Hockey League and North Sea Cup. They play their home games in Kempisch Ijsstadion. They participate in the Belgian Cup tournament and the Belgian Elite League.

Amsterdam G's was a semi-professional ice hockey team in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It was founded in 2011 by the group that formerly operated the Amstel Tijgers before it ceased operations in 2010. The team played at the Jaap Edenhal. It participated in the Dutch Cup and the defunct Eredivise league. They were known in their first year of operations as the "Amsterdam Capitals", but changed names after finding a corporate sponsor in 2012. The team was coached by Ron Berteling.
