Alwoodley is a suburb and civil parish of Leeds in West Yorkshire, England. It is 5 miles (8.0 km) north of central Leeds and is one of the most affluent areas of the county. Alwoodley lies in the LS17 postcode area which was reported to contain the most expensive housing area in Yorkshire and the Humber by The Times.
Barwick-in-Elmet is a village in West Yorkshire, 7 miles (11 km) east of Leeds city centre. It is one of only three places in the area to be explicitly associated with the ancient Romano-British kingdom of Elmet, the others being Scholes-in-Elmet and Sherburn-in-Elmet.
Scholes-in-Elmet is a village in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Its name is a plural of Old Norse skáli meaning "temporary shed".
Leeds City Council is the local authority of the City of Leeds in West Yorkshire, England. Leeds has had a council since 1626, which has been reformed on numerous occasions. Since 1974 it has been a metropolitan borough council. It provides the majority local government services in the city. It is the second most populous local government district in the United Kingdom with approximately 800,000 inhabitants living within its area; only Birmingham City Council has more. Barwick in Elmet and Scholes is a civil parish in the City of Leeds metropolitan borough in West Yorkshire, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 5,120, decreasing to 4,902 at the 2011 Census. The parish includes Barwick-in-Elmet and Scholes, situated in the north-eastern part of the borough.
Tadcaster Rural District was a rural district in the West Riding of Yorkshire from 1894 to 1974. It was named after Tadcaster.

Collingham is a village and civil parish 2 miles (3 km) south-west of Wetherby in West Yorkshire, England. It is in the City of Leeds metropolitan borough. The population of the civil parish as of the 2011 census was 2,991.
Swarcliffe, originally the Swarcliffe Estate, is a district of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It is 4.9 miles (8 km) east of Leeds city centre, and within the LS14 and LS15 Leeds postcode area. The district falls within the Cross Gates and Whinmoor ward of the Leeds Metropolitan Council.
Potterton is a hamlet 1 mile (1.5 km) north of Barwick-in-Elmet in City of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It falls within the Harewood ward of the Leeds Metropolitan Council. It is just south of the A64 road and so has access to junction 44 of the A1(M) motorway 2.5 miles (4 km) away, with Leeds only 7 miles (11 km) to the west.
John Michael Procter is the current Chair of the Royal Armouries and a former Conservative Member of the European Parliament (MEP). His term as Chair ended on 1 November 2023.

Parlington is a civil parish that includes part of Aberford, in the City of Leeds in West Yorkshire, England. In 2001 the parish had a population of 87. The parish touches Aberford, Barwick in Elmet and Scholes, Lotherton cum Aberford, Micklefield and Sturton Grange. Aberford & District Parish Council includes Parlington along with Aberford, Lotherton cum Aberford and Sturton Grange. There are plans to build a garden village in Parlington.
