Hawley was a small settlement in Fairfield Township, Russell County, Kansas, United States.
Hawley was issued a post office in 1880. The post office was discontinued in 1909. [2] The population in 1910 was 33. [3]

Reed Smoot was an American politician, businessman, and apostle of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A Republican who was first elected to the U.S. Senate by the Utah State Legislature in 1902, he served from 1903 to 1933.
