Production

It was announced in October 2020 that Amazon Studios had picked up the project, which would see Idris Elba and John Cena star, the pair having previously co-starred together in The Suicide Squad . [2] Two years later in October 2022, Ilya Naishuller was hired to direct the film. [3] In April 2023, Priyanka Chopra Jonas joined the cast. [4] Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, Sarah Niles and Richard Coyle would be added to the cast the following month. [5]

Filming began in London in May 2023. [6] [7] Filming continued in Liverpool's iconic St George's Hall and waterfront buildings in June 2023. [8] Later in July and August, location shooting moved to Trieste for some chasing scenes. [9] In May 2024, additional scenes were shot in Belgrade, Serbia. [10] [11]

The detective Luther must make cases against criminals while the murderer Morgan has a complicated relationship with him. The first series is composed of six episodes which ran in May and June 2010. A second series of four episodes aired on BBC One in June and July 2011, and a third was commissioned in 2012 composed of four episodes which aired in July 2013. A two-episode fourth series was broadcast in December 2015, and a fifth series of four episodes premiered on 1 January 2019. BBC Studios handled distribution for the TV series.

Wild Wild Country is a Netflix documentary series about the controversial Indian guru Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh (Osho), his one-time personal assistant Ma Anand Sheela, and their community of followers in the Rajneeshpuram community located in Wasco County, Oregon, US. It was released on Netflix on March 16, 2018, after premiering at the Sundance Film Festival. The title of the series is drawn from the Bill Callahan song "Drover", which features prominently in the final episode, and it also echoes the comments of Jane Stork about first seeing the ranch, shown at the beginning of episode 2: "it was just so wild, so rugged, but vast—really wild country".

Above the Below in an upcoming British survival thriller film co-directed by Idris Elba and Martin Owen. Elizabeth Morris, Matt Mitchell, and Vicki Sargent wrote the screenplay from a story by Owen. Elba also stars in the film alongside Caitlin FitzGerald and Hero Fiennes Tiffin in a story about three astronauts trapped in their capsule as it sinks in the ocean.
