Heart Made Up on You is the third EP by American pop rock band R5. [3] It was released on July 22, 2014, through Hollywood Records. [4] Musically, the EP was described as dance-pop with EDM elements. [5]
The band described Heart Made Up on You as a "first taste" of their upcoming second studio album, [6] which was scheduled to be released in early 2015. [7] However, due to further production and revisions, Ross Lynch announced in a radio interview that the band has decided these songs will not appear on the album, because they wanted a "blank slate". [8]
Rachel Ho of Musichel, praised the band for creating "a sound indigenous to R5". She also added that "with Heart Made Up on You, R5 have once again evinced that they have the magical music touch that will continue taking them to the top." [9] Vivian Pham of Popdust gave the album a rating of 4 out of 5 stars, saying that "R5 always leaves us wanting more." [10] Verity Magazine's Nikole Renee said that the EP "shows a definite growth". [11]

The name can also refer to Vesely alone. R5 was an American pop rock band formed in Los Angeles in 2009. The band consisted of Ross Lynch, Riker Lynch, Rocky Lynch, Rydel Lynch (keyboards/vocals), and Ellington Ratliff (drums/vocals). They released their first EP Ready Set Rock on March 9, 2010, but it was removed once Ross got his role on the Disney Channel show Austin and Ally. They then released the EP Loud on February 19, 2013. Since releasing their debut album, Louder, on September 24, 2013, which peaked at 24 on the Billboard 200, followed by their world tour. Their second album, Sometime Last Night, was released on July 10, 2015, and debuted at 6 on the US Billboard 200, and reached the top 20 in five other countries. They have also released five EPs, eleven singles, and a documentary. In 2018, the band ended and Ross and Rocky formed the duo The Driver Era.
