"Heart Made Up on You" is a dance-rock song [2] by American pop rock band R5, taken from their third extended play of the same name. The song was released for streaming on July 21, 2014, one day before the EP came out. It was then released for purchase at the iTunes Store on August 1.
"Heart Made Up on You" is a pop rock song with a length of three minutes and thirty seconds. The song also contains elements of electronic dance music, unlike the band's previews singles. [1] In an interview with MTV, the band spoke about the song, saying it was "darker" compared to the rest of their music. Ross said it is "sort of a natural evolution of R5 and [they're] just letting it all happen naturally." [3]
"Heart Made Up on You" has received generally positive reviews from fans and critics alike. Vivian Pham to Pop Dust said the song was positively different from the previous singles. She also said that the song was "catchy". [4] Rachel Ho to Musichel said the song "capture[s] the hearts of dance-pop lovers." Ross' vocals were also praised. [5]
On October 22, 2014, they performed "Heart Made Up on You" at We Day. [6] The same month, they filmed their guest appearance at the episode of the Argentine telenovela Violetta where they performed the song.
The video starts out with the band in a diner talking to a thief who they are in debt to. In order to pay back their debt, they must do something for him. The thief wants them to distract the town while he and the character meant to be Ross' girlfriend (portrayed by Juliette Buchs) rob a jewelry store. They proceed to do so by performing in the middle of the town. While robbing the store Ross' girlfriend is supposed to be watching the guard while her boss robs the place, but after realizing she has the car keys, she leaves, leading to the security guard catching her boss. The guard catches the thief which leads to him throwing the security guard through the window stopping the band performance and having everybody run. While overseeing the commotion, Ross sees his girlfriend is in trouble and runs to help her. Two nearby police officers see this and the thief convinces them that the robber is still inside, distracting them. After seeing Ross and his girlfriend together, he then proceeds to chase the two of them through the town. Stuck at a crossroads alleyway with the thief on their trail, they decide to distract the thief by going opposite directions, confusing him. They manage to get away with Ross grabbing the bag of stolen jewelry and drive away to a dirt road where not many people are around. After turning off the ignition, his girlfriend looks at him for a minute then kisses him, but only as a distraction, as she is really trying to handcuff him to the steering wheel, which she succeeds at. After handcuffing him she gets out of the car, takes the stolen jewelry, and throws away the car keys, thus leaving Ross with no way to escape.

Something for the Rest of Us is the ninth studio album by American rock band Goo Goo Dolls. It was released on August 28, 2010, in Australia and on August 31 in North America through Warner Bros. Records. The recording process took place during the spring to fall of 2009 in the GCR Audio studio in Buffalo and Paramount Studios as well as "the Ark" in Los Angeles, with producer Tim Palmer. A single had been originally slated to be released in November 2009 with an album release in February 2010, but the band went back into the studio in January 2010. According to lead singer and guitarist John Rzeznik, this was done to make further improvements on what they had previously thought had been a finished record. Several producers were brought in to assist on the production process, including Butch Vig, John Fields, Paul David Hager and Rob Cavallo. Something for the Rest of Us is the third Goo Goo Dolls studio album that Cavallo has produced. When asked about the length of time between albums, Rzeznik admitted it was a mix of songwriting issues as well as taking time out for personal reasons; "I wanted to really dig deep and there are a million songs I threw away, like, “Nah, it's not good enough. I wanna do something different. I wanna do something better, go deeper. I also wanted to have a life with my girlfriend for a while. I owed it to her to spend some time with her and be normal and be in one place. That was kind of important." Ross Shor Lynch is an American actor, singer, and musician. He was the lead vocalist of the pop rock band R5 and is one half of the band the Driver Era. As an actor, he rose to recognition for his debut role as Austin Moon on Disney Channel's comedy television series Austin & Ally and for his role as Brady in the network's Teen Beach Movie film series.
R5 was an American pop rock band formed in Los Angeles in 2009. The band consisted of Ross Lynch, Riker Lynch, Rocky Lynch, Rydel Lynch (keyboards/vocals), and Ellington Ratliff (drums/vocals). They released their first EP Ready Set Rock on March 9, 2010, but it was removed once Ross got his role on the Disney Channel show Austin and Ally. They then released the EP Loud on February 19, 2013. Since releasing their debut album, Louder, on September 24, 2013, which peaked at 24 on the Billboard 200, followed by their world tour. Their second album, Sometime Last Night, was released on July 10, 2015, and debuted at 6 on the US Billboard 200, and reached the top 20 in five other countries. They have also released five EPs, eleven singles, and a documentary. In 2018, the band ended and Ross and Rocky formed the duo The Driver Era.
