Overview
Christensen explains about the album: "It goes in a different direction from the previous albums. The music has gotten quieter as I get older and more mature. Occasionally songs will explode, but overall Honeyburst is more folkish, and has a little twinge of country." [2] It contains quite a few ballads, about which Tim says, "they are far from trendy, and I don't mean that in a negative way. They are more classic and timeless and could just as well have been written 30 years ago, and will certainly also be written again 20 years from now." [3]
All instruments were played by Christensen, except for some drums by Olaf Olsen or Laust Sonne and several bass tracks by Nicolai Munch-Hansen. Nina Forsberg sang backing vocals for Right Next To the Right One. [4]
The cover was designed by Christensen and his father, Dan Christensen. [5] It was based on a collage Dan Christensen made in 1966, before he went to art school, and was intended for a 1968 fashion show in Copenhagen, for which it was never used. [6] He used faces of models from the fashion magazines that belonged to his then-girlfriend, who was a fashion designer. Christensen remembers it well from his childhood, when the collage hung in his father's bedroom. [6] His father gave the collage to Christensen as a gift on 25 July 2012. [6]
Songs
The song "Right Next To the Right One" was used as the title song for the Emmy Award winning DR1 drama series Nikolaj og Julie that was aired in 2002-2003. It became a national hit in 2002, [3] a year ahead of Honeyburst's release. Christensen explains the match was made quickly: "The producer of the show called me, he said they liked what I was doing and wanted to know if I had a song they could use. At the time we had made demos one of which was "Right Next To the Right One". He told me what the series were about, and I said, 'I believe I have a good bid.' I think it fits well with the series, but it's important for me to tell that it is not their song; it wasn't taken from the series and used on my record, but it was taken from the record and used in the series." [3] It was later also covered by several artists. Maggie Chiang covered it in 2004 as "Ni Bu Gong Ping" (Chinese for "Unfair to you") for her album Beautiful But Lonely (2004). [10] In 2007, Celine Dion recorded it for her album Taking Chances , [11] for which Christensen provided all instrument tracks. [7] It has not been released as a single, but has entered the Danish Singles Chart on 23 November 2007 at number 13, due to strong digital downloads. An Italian version titled "Giorni d'Estate" ("Summer days") was recorded for Dolcenera's fourth album, Dolcenera nel paese delle meraviglie ("Dolcenera in Wonderland"). [12] Although this was a lucrative deal for Christensen, it also gave people the impression that he made soft music. [13] Christensen has also received many invites to play this song at weddings, [14] which Christensen finds ironic because the line he started from was: "A pretty face can take you places you don't want to go." [3] Christensen furthermore explained about the song: "Many believe it is about the only one, but for me, it is about being shy and daring to step out of my shell." [15]
The second single, "Whispering at the Top of my Lungs", received heavy airplay on DR P3 in the summer of 2003. [3] About the genesis of this song, Christensen explains that this was originally written as a heavy song, but it didn't really work. This version is frequently played as the shorter song "Screaming At the Top of My Lungs". The song was then recorded as a quiet ballad, but this too did not feel right. The final result was a bit of both, where quiet verses are dynamically alternated with strong choruses with full band. [16] Live, Christensen plays this song entirely on electric guitar, but he uses an L.R. Baggs X-Bridge that allows him to make his guitar sound like an acoustic guitar.
The third single, "Jump the Gun", is the only song on the album that has no Mellotron on it. [3] It is an older song that Christensen could not fit in anywhere before. [3] "Lay Down Your Arms" is about not living for your own sake. [3] It is written in a tradition taking after Christensen's great example The Beatles, especially the style of Paul McCartney, in such a straight way that it is nearly a nursery rhyme. [3] "Isolation Here I Come" is about Christensen's tendency to flee when things get piles up. The isolation in this song is something negative, describing a state of being unable to deal with reality, even though it doesn't have to be so." [3] "No Easy Key" is one of Christensen's favorites, in which he feels he stepped over his own limits as a songwriter. The lyrics "hint to the whole Popstars thing, or rather the people behind it." [3] "Close the Door" contains guitar parts akin to those of George Harrison. The lyrics to "Don't Leave Me but Leave Me Alone" describe "the somewhat unnecessary distance I involuntarily experience with some of my audience. It is almost like the more established [the artist], the greater the distance. I notice that people are looking at me, but don't dare to come over, and this has gotten worse." [3] "How Far You Go" is the only hidden track ever to appear on an album by Dizzy Mizz Lizzy or Tim Christensen because it was not added out of Christensen's free will: "It was a demo I had made, but I did not want to put it on the record because it was a little too heavy on the sentimental side, but the record company had not forgotten about it." [3] It has a Don McLean like feel to it. [3]
Swan Lee is a Danish band featuring Pernille Rosendahl on vocals. It was formed in 1996 by Rosendahl with guitarist Jonas Struck, drummer Emil Jørgensen and keyboardist Tim Christensen, who was her boyfriend at the time. The name was taken from a Syd Barrett song.
Dizzy Mizz Lizzy is an alternative rock band from Denmark formed in 1988. The power trio consists of Tim Christensen, Martin Nielsen and Søren Friis (drums). Between 1994 and 1997, they were highly successful in Denmark and Japan and are credited for heading the 1990s rock revival in Denmark with their studio albums Dizzy Mizz Lizzy (1994) and Rotator (1996). After the group disbanded in 1998, Christensen started a successful solo career.

My Love: Essential Collection is the third English-language greatest hits album by Canadian recording artist Celine Dion. It was released by Columbia Records on 24 October 2008 as the follow up to her previous English-language compilation, All the Way... A Decade of Song (1999). In the album's liner notes, she dedicated this collection of songs, recorded between 1990 and 2008, to her fans who supported her throughout the years. My Love: Essential Collection was released as a single disc, consisting of Dion's most successful singles, including: "My Heart Will Go On", "Because You Loved Me", "The Power of Love" and "It's All Coming Back to Me Now". The two-disc edition, entitled My Love: Ultimate Essential Collection, has been further expanded to include more hits and rare songs that have not previously appeared on her albums. Both editions include one new track, "There Comes a Time". The album wasn't released in Japan because Sony Music Entertainment decided to issue a different compilation there, Complete Best.
Secrets on Parade is the debut solo album by Danish singer-songwriter Tim Christensen, released on 5 October 2000 on CD and vinyl. It is considered the transitional work between the music he made with Dizzy Mizz Lizzy and his solo music. Before its release, Christensen described the album as: "a rock album with material that is more timeless rather than time-typical [as was the case with Dizzy Mizz Lizzy] with room for solid rock, a glittery edge, and some ballads." The vinyl edition of the album was re-released through the record label Parlophone on April 19, 2014.
Superior is the third studio album by Danish singer-songwriter Tim Christensen, released on 24 November 2008 on CD, limited edition Digipak CD/DVD which includes a 30-minute making-of, and a double vinyl box set which also includes the CD and DVD, as well as an outsize poster.
Rotator is the second studio album released by the Danish rock band Dizzy Mizz Lizzy. After touring the album, the band broke up, making this their last studio album released until Forward in Reverse in 2016.
Dolcenera nel paese delle meraviglie is the fourth studio album by Italian singer Dolcenera, released on 18 February 2009. It is her first album released on Sony Music Italy. The lead single from the album, "Il mio amore unico", became the most successful single by Dolcenera so far, peaking at number five on the Italian Singles Chart and reaching the top spot on the Italian airplay chart.
Olaf Olsen is a Norwegian musician, known as the drummer of BigBang with whom he has remained the longest after frontman Øystein Greni. He is renowned for his tall posture rising high above his drum kit, emphasized by his long blonde hair and beard. Olsen currently resides in Los Angeles, California, along with the other members of the band to try their luck in the United States.
Dizzcography is a box set released in 2010, containing all previously released material by the Danish rock band Dizzy Mizz Lizzy. The name is a portmanteau of "Dizzy" and "discography". The CD version is collected in a black printed cardboard box as four Digipak CDs and a 40-page booklet. The box set was also released in a limited press on 8 double-sided vinyl records, which was a major driver of creating this box set because the albums had not been released on vinyl previously. Live in Concert 2010 is the second live album by the Danish power rock band Dizzy Mizz Lizzy. Recorded at the K.B. Hallen on 16–17 April 2010, it documents the band's finale of their 2010 reunion tour. Performing at this venue has a special connotation to the band members, who grew up nearby and saw concerts of their musical heroes growing up. The original building was destroyed by a fire 1.5 years later. The album was released on 8 November 2010 as 2CD/DVD and 2CD/Blu-ray. In Japan, it was released on 27 April on King Records. and includes a sticker sheet and liner notes by Masa Ito.
Live at Abbey Road Studios 2004 is a live 2CD and limited edition DVD/2CD and vinyl record by Danish singer-songwriter Tim Christensen, released in 2004. It is the first officially released live solo recording of Christensen. The DVD appeared only in limited numbers and is now a rare item.
Tim Christensen and The Damn Crystals is the fourth studio album by Danish singer-songwriter Tim Christensen, and the eponymous first album of the formation Tim Christensen and The Damn Crystals. The album was released on 25 November 2011 on CD and as music download. The vinyl release was delayed to 20 December 2011 due to printing issues affecting quality. A Japanese bonus edition was released on 23 May 2012.

Side Effects is an EP by the Danish singer-songwriters Mads Langer and Tim Christensen, released on July 19, 2014 through RCA and Sony Music Denmark. The EP was awarded the "Danish rock album of the year", while the collaboration garnered the duo a GAFFA Award for "Danish rock band of the year".
