The Hong Kong national football team represents Hong Kong in international football and is controlled by the Hong Kong Football Association, the governing body for football in Hong Kong. Hong Kong was the first in Asia to hold the AFC Asian Cup in 1956 and won third place, and was also semi-finalist in 1964. Hong Kong did not qualify for another AFC tournament until 2023. They had never qualified for the FIFA World Cup and its biggest celebrated victory was the 1986 FIFA World Cup qualification (AFC) where Hong Kong produced a 2–1 upset win against China which resulted in Hong Kong qualifying for the second rounds of qualification. Hong Kong has qualified for the EAFF E-1 Football Championship six times in 1995, 1998, 2003, 2010, 2019 and 2022.

The Legend Is Born: Ip Man is a 2010 Hong Kong biographical martial arts film based on the early life of the Wing Chun grandmaster Ip Man, directed by Herman Yau and starring Dennis To in the titular role. The film was followed by a sequel in 2013, Ip Man: The Final Fight. Though not made in collaboration with Wilson Yip's Ip Man or Ip Man 2, The Legend is Born features several actors who appeared in Yip's films, including Sammo Hung, Louis Fan, and Chen Zhihui. The film also features a special appearance by Ip Chun, the son of Ip Man. Released as Ip Man Zero in German and Dutch-speaking areas.

The 2011–12 Hong Kong FA Cup was the 38th season of Hong Kong FA Cup. It is a knockout competition for all the teams of the 2011–12 Hong Kong First Division League.

The 68th Hong Kong–Macau Interport was an association football match held in Macau on 16 June 2012. Macau were the defending champions as they captured the champion by winning 1-0 the previous year.

The 2013–14 season is Eastern Sports Club 59th season in the Hong Kong First Division League, as well as their debut season after their promotion to the top-tier division in 2012–13 season. The club has competed in the First Division League, as well as Senior Challenge Shield and FA Cup.

Wudang Rules is a 2015 Hong Kong martial arts, action themed television drama created and produced by TVB, starring Chin Siu-ho, Tavia Yeung, Yuen Qiu, Timmy Hung, Derek Kok and Toby Leung as the main cast. Filming took place from August until October 2014. The drama began airing on Hong Kong's Jade and HD Jade channels from May 25 until June 19, 2015 every Monday through Friday during its 8:30-9:30 pm timeslot with a total of 20 episodes.

The Eastern basketball team, is a professional men's basketball team of the Eastern Sports Club. The team also known as Chinese: 東方男籃; lit. 'Eastern Men's Basketball' and Hong Kong Eastern for sponsorship reason. The team competes in the Hong Kong A1 Division and the ASEAN Basketball League since 2016.

Shih Kuei-chun is a Taiwanese male badminton player. He was born in Pingtung County, and in 2014 he became the finalist of the Chinese Taipei national badminton championships in the men's singles event. He lose to Hsu Jen-hao with the score 1-2. He also the semifinalist of the 2014 Canada Open Grand Prix tournament. In 2016, he became the runner-up of the Maurice's Pools and Spas Waikato International tournament in the men's singles event.

Hong Kong competed at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, from 18 August to 2 September 2018. Hong Kong made its debut at the Asian Games in 1954 Manila, and the best achievement for the territory was in 2010 Asian Games held in neighboring Guangzhou, finishing with 8 gold, 15 silver and 17 bronze medals totaling 40 medals. At the previous edition in held 4 years later in Incheon, the total number of medals increased to 42, but the number of gold medals fell to 6, In Indonesia the performance of local athletes was satisfactory, improving the results obtained in 2010 and 2014 with 46 medals achieving the best results at the games.

The South China AA volleyball team is a department of the South China Athletic Association (SCAA). The department was also known as Chinese: 排球部; lit. 'volleyball section' or Chinese: 南華男排; lit. 'South China men's volleyball'. The department also has another men's volleyball team known as Nam Ching as well as women's volleyball team also known as "South China".

Flying Tiger 2 is a 2019 Hong Kong action crime drama television series jointly produced by Shaw Brothers Studios and Youku. It stars Michael Miu, Bosco Wong, Kenneth Ma, Ron Ng, Lawrence Ng, Joel Chan, Yoyo Mung and Kelly Cheung as the main leads. It is created by Cha Chuen Yee, Raymond Lee and Billy Tang. Flying Tiger 2 is the second installment of the Flying Tiger franchise, featuring a new storyline. The series first premiered on Youku on 6 September 2019.

Ian Chan Cheuk-yin, is a Hong Kong singer-songwriter, actor, and a member of the Cantopop group Mirror. He was a former volleyball player for the Hong Kong men's national volleyball team and South China Athletic Association. He is also the founder of the clothing brand Indipandant.
