Horst Siegl (born 15 February 1969) is a Czech former professional footballer who played as a forward. He is among the most successful goalscorers in the history of the Czech First League. He played for Czechoslovakia and later Czech Republic national football teams.
Born in Abertamy, Siegl belongs to the ethnic German minority, with his family was one of the few people who were not expelled after the World War II. [3]
Siegl is a four-time Czech First League top scorer. [4] He played for Czechoslovakia and later Czech Republic, playing total 23 matches and scoring seven goals. Siegl played two matches for the Czech Republic in the 1997 FIFA Confederations Cup. [1] [2]
In total, Siegl scored 176 league goals in 448 games (265/128 Sparta, 39/7 Cheb, 13/0 1.FC Kaiserslautern, 84/25 Příbram, 13/5 Plzeň, 34/11 Most). With 133 Czech First League goals, [5] Siegl was the competition's record scorer until being passed by David Lafata in March 2014. [6]

Vratislav Lokvenc is a Czech former professional footballer who played as a forward. After playing youth football for Náchod and Hradec Králové, he began his senior club career with the latter team. After moving to Sparta Prague he won five league titles and one cup, as well as the 1999–2000 league top scorer award. He subsequently played abroad, playing club football in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for 1. FC Kaiserslautern, VfL Bochum, Red Bull Salzburg, FC Basel and FC Ingolstadt 04. He retired in 2009.
Pavel Kuka is a Czech former professional footballer who played as a forward. He represented his national team on 87 occasions, scoring 29 goals. At club level Kuka started in 1987 with Rudá Hvězda Cheb in the Czechoslovak First League before transferring to Slavia Prague two years later. During the 1993–94 season he moved to Germany, where he played in the Bundesliga for 1. FC Kaiserslautern, 1. FC Nürnberg and VfB Stuttgart. In 2000 he returned to Slavia, where he spent a further five years before retiring from top-level football in 2005.

David Lafata is a Czech former professional footballer who played as a forward. He was the Czech First League's top scorer in six seasons and with 198 league goals, he is by far the top scorer of the Czech First League of all time. He also scored nine goals for the Czech Republic national team.
