Ladislav Maier (born 4 January 1966 in Boskovice) is a Czech former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper.

At club level, Maier took part in five Fortuna Liga seasons, playing his matches for Liberec. [1] He played seven matches for the Czech Republic, participating UEFA Euro 1996 and 2000.[ citation needed ] Maier played for Austrian club Rapid Wien and heavily criticised head coach Lothar Matthäus, calling him "the biggest fool ever" and claiming that even the cleaners were pleased that Matthäus had left the club. [2]

The 2021–22 Czech National Football League is the 29th season of the Czech Republic's second tier football league. Due to positive coronavirus tests on four players and additional players showing symptoms, the 12th and 13th round of matches for Varnsdorf, against Líšeň and Opava, were postponed.

The season is expected to end on 28 May 2023 with two extra play-out fixtures on 1 and 4 June 2023.

The 2023–24 FC Zbrojovka Brno season is the club's 5th season in the Fortuna národní liga. The team was relegated from the first league for the third time in six years and is competing in Fortuna národní liga and the Czech Cup.
