Hospitales Station is a station and terminus on Line H of the Buenos Aires Underground. [1] Here passengers may transfer to Metrobus Sur. [2] It was opened on 27 May 2013 as a one-station extension from Parque Patricios. It is currently serving as the southern terminus of the line, until it is extended to Sáenz. [3]
The Buenos Aires Underground, locally known as Subte, is a rapid transit system that serves the area of the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The first section of this network opened in 1913, making it the 13th subway in the world and the first underground railway in Latin America, the Southern Hemisphere, and the Spanish-speaking world, with the Madrid Metro opening five years later, in 1919. Currently, Buenos Aires is the only Argentine city with a metro system.
Line C of the Buenos Aires Underground, that runs from Retiro to Constitución terminus, opened on 9 November 1934, and it has a length of 4.3 km (2.7 mi). It runs under such streets as Lima Sur, Bernardo de Irigoyen, Carlos Pellegrini, Esmeralda, la Plaza San Martín and Avenida Ramos Mejia. It not only connects to every other line on the system, but its termini at Retiro and Constitución also connect it to some of the most important commuter rail networks in Buenos Aires, such as the Mitre and Roca lines and also long-distance passenger services. It is thus an important artery in Buenos Aires' transport system. At the same time, it is also the shortest line in both terms of length and number of stations.
Line D of the Buenos Aires Underground runs from Catedral to Congreso de Tucumán. The line opened on 3 June 1937 and has been expanded to the north several times. The line is currently 11 km long and has 16 stations, while running approximately parallel to the city's coastline.
Line E of the Buenos Aires Underground, which runs from Retiro to Plaza de los Virreyes, currently extending a total distance of 12 km. Opened in 1944, the Line E was the last completely new line to be added to the Buenos Aires Underground, until 2007 when Line H was opened. The line has a history of being re-routed and extended due to having been historically the line with the lowest passenger numbers on the network.
The Premetro is a 7.4-kilometer long (4.6 mi) light rail line that runs in the outskirts of Buenos Aires, connecting with the Buenos Aires Underground line E, at Plaza de los Virreyes station and runs to General Savio, with a short branch to Centro Cívico. It opened in 1987 and is operated by Metrovías. Originally, the Premetro was to include many more lines, but shortly after the privatisation of the railways the projects were postponed and never materialised and only "Premetro E2" was built.
Lima is a station on Line A of the Buenos Aires Underground. Passengers may transfer from here to the Avenida de Mayo station on Line C and Metrobus 9 de Julio. The station belonged to the inaugural section of the Buenos Aires Underground opened on 1 December 1913, which linked the stations Plaza Miserere and Plaza de Mayo.
Carlos Pellegrini is a station on Line B of the Buenos Aires Underground. From here, passengers may transfer to the Diagonal Norte Station on Line C and the 9 de Julio Station on Line D and Metrobus 9 de Julio. The station was opened on 22 July 1931 as the eastern terminus of the extension of the line from Callao. In December 1931, the line was extended further east to Leandro N. Alem.
Constitución is a station on Line C of the Buenos Aires Underground and is the current terminus. Here passengers can transfer to Metrobus Sur. The station is a part of the larger Constitución railway station which serves as the terminal for the General Roca Railway and Roca Line. The station was opened on 9 November 1934 as part of the inaugural section of the line, from Constitución to Diagonal Norte.
Diagonal Norte is a station on Line C of the Buenos Aires Underground. From here, passengers may transfer to Carlos Pellegrini Station on Line B or 9 de Julio Station on Line D and Metrobus 9 de Julio. It is located near the Obelisco de Buenos Aires.
Avenida de Mayo is a station on Line C of the Buenos Aires Underground. From here, passengers may transfer to Lima Station on Line A and Metrobus 9 de Julio. The station was opened on 9 November 1934 as part of the inaugural section of the line, from Constitución to Diagonal Norte.
Moreno is a station on Line C of the Buenos Aires Underground in Argentina. From here passengers may transfer to Metrobus 9 de Julio. The station was opened on 9 November 1934 as part of the inaugural section of the line, from Constitución to Diagonal Norte.

Congreso de Tucumán is a station on Line D of the Buenos Aires Underground and is the current terminus. The station was opened on 27 April 2000 as the western terminus of the extension of the line from Juramento. It is located at the intersection of Cabildo and Congreso avenues. As of June 2015, the station connects to the Metrobus Cabildo bus rapid transit line that was opened that year. New underground passageways and station entrances were made for the station to provide easy transfer to the Metrobus line.
Palermo is a station on Line D of the Buenos Aires Underground in Palermo, Buenos Aires. It is located at the intersection of Avenida Santa Fe and Godoy Cruz. The station was opened on 23 February 1940 as the western terminus of the extension of Line D from Tribunales. On 29 December 1987, the line was extended to Ministro Carranza.
Independencia is a station on Line E of the Buenos Aires Underground. From here, passengers may transfer to the Independencia Station on Line C and Metrobus 9 de Julio. The station was opened on 24 April 1966 as part of the extension of the line from San José to Bolívar.
Inclán - Mezquita Al Ahmad is a station on Line H of the Buenos Aires Underground. Here passengers may transfer to Metrobus Sur. The station was opened on 18 October 2007, as part of the inaugural section of the line, between Once - 30 de Diciembre and Caseros.
Parque Patricios Station is a station on Line H of the Buenos Aires Underground. It was inaugurated on 4 October 2011 as the southern terminus of one-station extension from Caseros. It remained the terminus of the line until 27 May 2013, when the line was extended to Hospitales.
The Buenos Aires Metrobus is a 50.5 km (31.4 mi) network of dedicated separated lanes and stations for normal buses that serve the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Designed as a Bus Rapid Transit system, it mixes a few bi-articulated buses with conventional buses. The headway is the same as before the implementation of the system, and it lacks the brand of the network in the buses that use it, maintaining their previous branding as common bus lines with their own numbers. The service operates 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, with 2-4 minute frequencies during the day and 10–15 minutes at night.
Red de Expresos Regionales is a planned mass transit system in Buenos Aires which will connect the main rail terminals of the city through 16 km (9.9 mi) of tunnels with a central terminal. The tunnels will mean that the existing 815 km (506 mi) commuter rail network will be connected, with passengers being able to travel from one part of Greater Buenos Aires and La Plata to the other while only making one change at the new underground central terminal. The project is modelled on the Réseau Express Régional in Paris. It is estimated that after the completion of the project, combined with the current renewal of the commuter rail lines' rolling stock, passenger numbers will double from 1.4 million passengers per day to 3 million.
Sáenz is a future station and the future terminus of Line H of the Buenos Aires Underground. Once complete, the station will connect with the Belgrano Sur commuter rail line and the Metrobus Sur BRT line in a new facility designed for the connection of the three lines.
