Hot Chocolate is the second studio album by British soul band Hot Chocolate. It was released in November 1975 on the RAK Records label, owned by Mickie Most, who was the band's producer. The album peaked at number thirty-four on the UK Albums Chart [3] and forty-one on the US Billboard 200 album chart. [4]

The original 1975 LP release comprised ten original songs, of which only one ("You Sexy Thing") was credited to the band's writing team, lead vocalist Errol Brown and bassist Tony Wilson. Brown and Wilson wrote rest of the album separately, with the band members Harvey Hinsley, Patrick Olive and Tony Connor contributing "A Warm Smile". The album includes the group's best-known hit, "You Sexy Thing" and the top-10 UK and Irish hit "A Child's Prayer".

The album was issued on CD for the first time with six bonus tracks in 2009.

It was recorded in July 1985 and was produced by Tony Mansfield. Founding member and guitarist Ricky Wilson died of AIDS after most of the work on the album was completed, but a year prior to its release. The B-52's had gone on hiatus by the time Bouncing Off the Satellites was released, and it took three years for the band to recover from Wilson's death and release their next studio album, Cosmic Thing.

Harvey Vincent Hinsley is an English guitarist. He is best known for his early works with both members of Chas & Dave in the 1960s, and for being the lead guitarist for disco group Hot Chocolate, a band he still tours in as of 2024.

Patrick Augustus Olive is a Grenadian musician. He is best known for being a member of Hot Chocolate. He was originally the percussionist from 1968 to 1975, before switching to bass guitar. Currently, Olive is the only member in the band who has been in Hot Chocolate since its inception in 1968.

Anthony John Connor is a British drummer. He was the drummer for art rock band Audience throughout its first tenure from 1969 to 1972 and has been the drummer for soul group Hot Chocolate since 1970.
