Hotolisht is a village and a former municipality in the Elbasan County, eastern Albania. At the 2015 local government reform it became a subdivision of the municipality Librazhd. [1] The population at the 2011 census was 5,706. [2] The municipal unit consists of the villages Buzgare, Dardhe, Hotolisht, Kokreve, Vehcan, Vulcan and Xhyre. [3]
The village of Hotolisht appears in the Ottoman defter of 1467 as a settlement in the vilayet of Çermeniça with a total of 13 households, represented by the following household heads: Pop Shtjafenim, Pop Kozmai, Gjergj Vlashi, Mekshe Koleci, Progon Goroda (possibly, Guruda or Gruda), Tolë Penkuli, Gjon Primiqyri , Nikolla Bosi, Nenko Andropoli, Progon Pilashi, Petër Vlashi, Ishri Vlashi, and Gjergj Koja. Librazhd is a town and a municipality in Elbasan County, eastern Albania. The municipality was formed at the 2015 local government reform by the merger of the former municipalities Hotolisht, Librazhd, Lunik, Orenjë, Polis, Qendër Librazhd and Stëblevë, that became municipal units. The seat of the municipality is the town Librazhd. The total population is 31,892, in a total area of 793.99 km2 (306.56 sq mi). The population of the former municipality at the 2011 census was 6,937. Librazhd is the nearest town to the Shebenik-Jabllanice National Park.
