Released as a limited edition of 1200 copies pressed on black vinyl and packaged in a full-color gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeves, the catalog number on the jacket reads "mt093a," but this an error: mt093a was the special limited edition. This standard limited edition was designated as "mt093b."
All material remixed by Steven Stapleton from the In Menstrual Night LP/CD at Colin Potter's ICR Studios in Lancashire. Current 93 were, for the original Moonsongs: David Tibet, Steven Stapleton, Ruby Tabatha Wallis, Diana Rogerson, Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson, John Balance, Keiko Yoshido, Rose McDowall and Bee. All tracks previously unreleased, except Track A, which appeared as Track 1 on the release A Little Menstrual Night Music CD in 2003.

Only the 7″ single, which was remixed by Steven Stapleton and postmixed by Michael Lawrence, was recorded at Coptic Cat Studios in London.

Deluxe limited edition of 31 numbered copies (20 copies for retail sale and 11 copies as gifts for the artists involved) of the double vinyl set pressed on red vinyl with a bonus picture 7″ and a bonus acetate 7″. Also includes an art print, a signed insert, and a numbered and signed four-page 'funeral' card (reproduces the text of ”Moonbird for Jhonn“ and a short farewell message by David Tibet for Jhonn Balance that he read at Jhonn's funeral), hand-printed for David Tibet and Beta-lactam Ring by Alan Anderson. The double LP is packaged in a full-color gatefold sleeve. All contents of the box are stored in a custom-sewn white bag housed instead a custom-made wood box (made of pine, oak and walnut with the joints being dovetailed and the lid etched with text and artwork). Original retail price for these sets was $425 each.
The double-sided acetate 7″ will be unavailable elsewhere and contains two versions of ”Moonbird for Jhonn“. Track 7-C is David Tibet reading the elegy without music and track 7-D is a song version of the elegy constructed by Tibet with Ben Chasny of Six Organs of Admittance.

Nurse with Wound is the main recording name for British musician Steven Stapleton. Nurse with Wound was originally a band, formed in 1978 by Stapleton, John Fothergill and Heman Pathak. The band's work has explored genres such industrial, noise, dark ambient, and drone.

The Hafler Trio is an English conceptual, performance and sound art collaborative between Andrew M. McKenzie, the only permanent member, and guest sound artists, performers, and/or musicians. Warp 10 is a series of compilation albums issued by Warp Records in 1999 to celebrate the label's tenth anniversary. Swastikas for Noddy is a 1988 album by English music group Current 93. It charted on New Musical Express's Independent LPs chart in March 1988. It was originally issued simultaneously on CD and LP by Crepuscule Records' industrial subsidiary L.A.Y.L.A.H. Records and later reissued as a remastered CD by Durtro Records in 1994 under the slightly revised title "Swastikas For Goddy", the renaming being due to copyright infringement issues involving Enid Blyton's character Noddy. The album title "Swastikas for Noddy" originates from when David Tibet tried to think up the most unsuitable thing the character Noddy could be given as a present.

Dawn is an album by the English group Current 93. It is among the earlier releases of Current 93 and has a more industrial sound, compared to the band's current apocalyptic folk sound. Originally released in 1987 as an LP on the Maldoror label, it was reissued in 1989 on CD by Durtro. This reissue mistakenly contained an alternate version of "Great Black Time". In 2002, the album was again reissued on CD, containing both the alternate and the original LP version of "Great Black Time". In 2009, the album was yet again reissued on CD, restoring only the original vinyl edition and excluding the bonus tracks from earlier editions. The limited bonus disc contained an Andrew Liles remix.

It was the second of two albums attributed purely to a style called "moon musick," which signify their change from a "solar" group to a "moon" group. Musick to Play in the Dark Vol. 1 was the first installment.
Charlie Parr is an American country blues musician. Born in Austin, Minnesota, he spent part of his childhood in Hollandale before starting his music career in Duluth. His influences include Charlie Patton, Bukka White, Reverend Gary Davis, Dave Van Ronk, and Mississippi John Hurt. He plays a Mule resonator, National resonator guitar, a fretless open-back banjo, and a twelve-string guitar, often in the Piedmont blues style. He is married to Emily Parr, who occasionally adds vocals to his music. He has two children.
