Hundstrup is a small town located on the island of Funen in south-central Denmark, in Svendborg Municipality. It is four kilometers north of Vester Skerninge and 14 kilometers northwest of Svendborg.

The apple variety, Filippa originated in Hundstrup.[ citation needed ]

Den selvforsynende landsby

Den Selvforsynende Landsby (English: The Self-sufficient Village) is a Danish ecovillage situated in Hundstrup. The village was founded in 2002 with the intention of creating a community using permaculture techniques and the project began in 2004 when farmland outside of Hundstrup was purchased. As of 2014, the village has a population of about 65. [2]

Svendborg Municipality is a kommune in the Region of Southern Denmark on the southeast coast of the island of Funen, as well as on the islands of Drejø, Hjortø, Skarø, Thurø, and Tåsinge off Funen's southeastern shores in south-central Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 418 km2, and has a total population of 59,727 (2024). Its mayor is Bo Hansen (2017), a member of the Social Democrats political party. Taastrup is a Danish railway town and suburb of Copenhagen – 18 km west of Copenhagen's city centre. The town forms a twin urban area with neighbouring suburb Høje Taastrup, Taastrup rising since 1859 and Høje Taastrup rising west of the town, since the 1970s. The town/suburb development has engulfed the villages of Taastrup Valby, Høje Taastrup, Kragehave and Klovtofte, although Høje Taastrup still has a preserved village character around Høje Taastrup Church. The town is the administrative seat of Høje-Taastrup Municipality, Region Hovedstaden; the seat placed in Taastrup first and since moving to Høje- Taastrup in the beginning of the 1980s. In 2023 a new town hall was opened on 14 February.

Anne Hvide's House is a two-storey, half-timbered building in Svendborg on the Danish island of Funen. One of the oldest houses in the town, it was built in 1560 by Anne Hvide, a widow of noble descent. It was used as an inn from 1837 to 1867. After being restored in 1916, it became a museum with exhibitions relating to the history of Svendborg.
