Odense is the third largest city in Denmark and the largest city on the island of Funen. As of 1 January 2024, the city proper had a population of 183,763 while Odense Municipality had a population of 209,078, making it the fourth largest municipality in Denmark. Eurostat and OECD have used a definition for the Metropolitan area of Odense, which includes all municipalities in the Province of Funen, with a total population of 504,066 as of 1 July 2022.
Svendborg is a town on the island of Funen in south-central Denmark, and the seat of Svendborg Municipality. With a population of 27,521, Svendborg is Funen's second largest city. In 2000 Svendborg was declared "Town of the year" in Denmark, and in 2003 it celebrated its 750th anniversary as a market town. By road, Svendborg is located 195 kilometres (121 mi) southwest of Copenhagen, 183 kilometres (114 mi) south of Aarhus, 44.2 kilometres (27.5 mi) south of Odense, and 28.5 kilometres (17.7 mi) east of Faaborg.
Ishøj Municipality is a municipality in the Capital Region on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers 26 km², with a total population of 23,663. Its mayor is Merete Amdisen, a member of the Social Democrats (Socialdemokraterne) political party.
Vallensbæk Municipality is a municipality in the Capital Region of Denmark on Zealand. It is part of the Greater Copenhagen area and consist primarily of the suburb of Vallensbæk. It is one of the smallest municipalities in Denmark in terms of area. Vallensbæk Municipality borders the municipalities of Ishøj, Høje-Taastrup, Albertslund and Brøndby. It borders Køge Bay, and the Køge Bay Beach Park along the coast. The suburb of Vallensbæk consists of two sections, not directly connected to each other: Vallensbæk Nordmark in the north and Vallensbæk Strand in the south. The two parts of the town are commonly referred to together as Vallensbæk. The only other settlement in the municipality is the village of Vallensbæk Landsby.

Svendborg Municipality is a kommune in the Region of Southern Denmark on the southeast coast of the island of Funen, as well as on the islands of Drejø, Hjortø, Skarø, Thurø, and Tåsinge off Funen's southeastern shores in south-central Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 418 km2, and has a total population of 59,727 (2024). Its mayor is Bo Hansen (2017), a member of the Social Democrats political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council is the city of Svendborg.
Tåsinge is a Danish island immediately south of Funen, opposite and facing Svendborg, divided from Funen by Svendborgsund. The island covers an area of circa 70 km2 (27 sq mi). It is part of the South Funen Archipelago and has 6,111 inhabitants. The Danish national road 9 crosses the island.
Thurø is a small Danish island in the south-east of Funen and belongs to the Svendborg municipality. Thurø is part of the South Funen Archipelago, comprising c. 55 islands altogether. The island had 3,555 inhabitants as of 2014.
Taastrup is a Danish railway town and suburb of Copenhagen – 18 km west of Copenhagen's city centre. The town forms a twin urban area with neighbouring suburb Høje Taastrup, Taastrup rising since 1859 and Høje Taastrup rising west of the town, since the 1970s. The town/suburb development has engulfed the villages of Taastrup Valby, Høje Taastrup, Kragehave and Klovtofte, although Høje Taastrup still has a preserved village character around Høje Taastrup Church. The town is the administrative seat of Høje-Taastrup Municipality, Region Hovedstaden; the seat placed in Taastrup first and since moving to Høje- Taastrup in the beginning of the 1980s. In 2023 a new town hall was opened on 14 February.
The Funen Village is an open-air museum located in the neighborhood of Fruens Bøge in Odense, Denmark.
Funen, with an area of 3,099.7 square kilometres (1,196.8 sq mi), is the third-largest island of Denmark, after Zealand and Vendsyssel-Thy. It is the 165th-largest island in the world. It is located in the central part of the country and has a population of 469,947 as of 2020. Funen's main city is Odense, which is connected to the sea by a seldom-used canal. The city's shipyard, Odense Steel Shipyard, has been relocated outside Odense proper.

Torkilstrup, also Torkildstrup, is a little village some 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) southeast of Nørre Alslev on the Danish island of Falster. It is best known for Torkilstrup Church, one of the island's oldest churches, built before 1160. The adjacent Torkilstrup Rectory and Torkilstrup Windmill are both on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places.
Stokkemarke is a village on the Danish island of Lolland located midway between Nakskov and Maribo. In January 2024 it had a population of 416. Stokkemarke Church, first documented in 1396, originally built in the Romanesque style, has Gothic additions.
Anne Hvide's House is a two-storey, half-timbered building in Svendborg on the Danish island of Funen. One of the oldest houses in the town, it was built in 1560 by Anne Hvide, a widow of noble descent. It was used as an inn from 1837 to 1867. After being restored in 1916, it became a museum with exhibitions relating to the history of Svendborg.
