Filippa is a Danish apple cultivar. The cultivar was created by a schoolgirl named Filippa Johannsen (1842 - 1930) in Hundstrup on the island of Funen. [1]

Some sources say the apple originates in 1850; [2] other sources say 1881. [1]

Sonneruplund recommends this apple variety for private gardens, as it can be grown without the use of pesticides. [3]

EverCrisp is an American apple cultivar developed by the Midwest Apple Improvement Association (MAIA). Trademarked as EverCrisp, the MAIA-1 variety is a cross between two existing apple cultivars – the Honeycrisp and Fuji. Originally produced in Ohio, EverCrisp has since expanded to apple-growing regions across the Midwest in Michigan, Illinois and Indiana, and in the Northeast in Pennsylvania and New York. The apple entered the public marketplace in 2017.

Hundstrup is a small town located on the island of Funen in south-central Denmark, in Svendborg Municipality. It is four kilometers north of Vester Skerninge and 14 kilometers northwest of Svendborg.

Marienlyst Manor Manor house in Zealand, Denmark

Marienlyst Manor is a manor house and estate located on the southernmost part of Zealand, overlooking the Færgestrøm, Vordingborg Municipality, in southeastern Denmark. Formerly a farm under Iselingen, it was incorporated as an independent manor in 1810. The main building dates from 1800 but owes its current appearance to a renovation undertaken after a fire in 1873.
