Hurst Springs is an unincorporated community in Coryell County, in the U.S. state of Texas. [1] According to the Handbook of Texas, the community had a population of 8 in 2000. It is located within the Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood metropolitan area.
Hurst Springs is located on Farm to Market Road 182, 5 mi (8.0 km) northeast of Turnersville in northern Coryell County. [2]
The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Hurst Springs has a humid subtropical climate, abbreviated "Cfa" on climate maps. [3]
Hurst Springs had its own school in the early 1890s. [2] Today, the community is served by the Clifton Independent School District.
