Muntinlupa, officially the City of Muntinlupa, is a 1st class highly urbanized city in the National Capital Region of the Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 543,445 people.
The Philippine peso, also referred to by its Tagalog name piso, is the official currency of the Philippines. It is subdivided into 100 sentimo, also called centavos.
Banknotes of the Philippine peso are issued by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas for circulation in the Philippines. The smallest amount of legal tender in wide circulation is ₱20 and the largest is ₱1000. The front side of each banknote features prominent people along with buildings, and events in the country's history while the reverse side depicts landmarks and animals.

The Metropolitan Museum of Manila, also branded as the M, is an art museum located in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, that exhibits local and international contemporary art. It was formerly located within the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Complex along Roxas Boulevard in the Malate district of Manila, the Philippines. It bills itself as the country's premier museum for modern and contemporary visual arts by local and international artists. Established in 1976, the Met initially exhibited international artists to expose Filipinos to contemporary visual works in other cultures. By 1986, its focus shifted to local works and extend its reach to more common people by offering bilingual exhibition texts and developing several outreach educational programs like workshops and symposia, thereby promoting local pride and identity. The museum offers free admission on Tuesdays. Partly subsidized by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, the administration of the museum was entrusted to the Metropolitan Museum of Manila Foundation in 1979. The museum's three floors of galleries house a collection of art and historical artifacts loaned by the BSP such as pre-Hispanic goldwork and pottery, religious artwork as well as some artworks by Félix Resurrección Hidalgo. The rest of the museum is dedicated to Philippine contemporary works by various Filipino artists.
The Aquila Legis (Α.L.F.) is a Filipino fraternity based in the Ateneo de Manila School of Law. Founded by Joaquin Misa, the first bossman or "Honorable Praeses" in 1949, it was the first fraternity founded by students, and the first fraternity in the Philippines using Latin nomenclature, preceding a number of Philippine law-based fraternities with names derived from Latin.
The New Design Series (NDS) (also known as the BSP Series after the establishment of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) was the name used to refer to banknotes of the Philippine peso issued from 1985 to 2013 and the coins of the Philippine peso issued from 1995 to 2017. The banknotes were printed until 2013 (with 5-peso note were printed until 1995, 10-peso note until 2001, 20 and 1000 peso notes until 2012, and 50, 100, 200 and 500 peso notes until 2013), legal tender until December 31, 2015, and can be exchanged with NGC notes until its demonetization on December 29, 2017, where they co-existed with the NGC banknotes from December 16, 2010 to December 29, 2017. The coins were minted and issued from c. December 1995 to November 30, 2017, and remain legal tender as of 2023. It was succeeded by the New Generation Currency (NGC) Series issued on December 16, 2010, for banknotes and November 30, 2017, for coins.
The Philippine five hundred-peso note (₱500) is a denomination of Philippine currency. Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. and his wife, President Corazon Aquino are currently featured on the front side of the note, while the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park and the blue-naped parrot are featured on the reverse side. BSP will issue the polymer version of this denomination by 2023 and will be the second denomination in this format after the 1000-Piso polymer banknote issued last April 2022.
Jaime del Carmen Laya, better known as Jimmy Laya is a Filipino banker, accountant, and cultural administrator who served as the first Secretary of the Department of Budget and Management of the Republic of the Philippines, serving from 1978 to 1981. He was also the 5th governor of the Central Bank of the Philippines from 1981 to 1984 and later served as the Minister of Education, Culture and Sports from 1984 until 1986. His terms in civil service, covered two significant points in Philippine history, the election that made former President Ferdinand Marcos have his third term and the assassination of the late Senator Benigno S. Aquino Jr. that stimulated the People Power Revolution of 1986.
Amando Maglalang Tetangco Jr. is a Filipino banker, who served as the third Governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). He was the first BSP governor to serve two terms, having been first appointed to the office by Philippine president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo in July 4 2005, and reappointed in July 31, 2011 by President Benigno Aquino III to serve another six-year term.
Carlos "Sonny" García Domínguez III is a Filipino businessman and former chief executive of Philippine Airlines who served as the Secretary of Finance under the Duterte administration. He had previously held the position of Secretary of Agriculture and Minister of Natural Resources under the Corazon Aquino administration. Prior to his appointment to President Duterte's Cabinet, he had served as executive director of PTFC Redevelopment Corp., as independent director of Alsons Consolidated Resources, and as director of United Paragon Mining Corp. His family owns Marco Polo Hotel in Davao City, one of the top hotels in southern Mindanao.
The Governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas is the chief executive officer of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, the Philippines' central bank. This position succeeds and replaces the earlier post of Governor of the Central Bank of the Philippines.
Nestor Aldave Espenilla Jr. was a Filipino banker who served as the fourth governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) from 2017 until his death in 2019. He began working for the BSP in 1981 and was a deputy governor under his predecessor Amando Tetangco Jr.
Menardo "Boy" Ilasco Guevarra is a Filipino lawyer and public servant who is the incumbent Solicitor General of the Philippines under the Marcos administration since 2022. He previously served as the Secretary of Justice and deputy executive secretary under the Duterte and Aquino administrations. Prior to his government stint, he was involved in private litigation practice as a founding partner of the Medialdea Ata Bello Guevarra & Suarez law firm since 1990. He was also an active faculty member at his alma mater Ateneo de Manila University, where he graduated in 1974. Guevarra's appointment to the Justice portfolio was confirmed by the Commission on Appointments on May 30, 2018.
Jaime dela Rosa Fresnedi, also known as Jimmy Fresnedi, is a Filipino politician currently serving as a member of the Philippine House of Representatives representing the Lone District of Muntinlupa, Metro Manila since 2022. He previously served as the mayor of Muntinlupa from 1998 to 2007 and from 2013 to 2022 and vice mayor of Muntinlupa from 1987 to 1998.
Ramon Nazareth Villegas more popularly known as Mon Villegas or Boy Villegas, was a Filipino curator, art historian, jeweler, author, antiquities dealer, and poet. He was best known for chronicling the history of Philippine art and antiquities in various publications in both the Philippines and overseas. Villegas ran his own antique shop called Yamang Katutubo Artifacts and Crafts, which featured Philippine jewelry and antiques that closed on his death in 2017.
Eduardo Romuáldez y Ziálcita was a Filipino banker, financial administrator and diplomat who served as the Ambassador of the Philippines to the United States from 1971 to 1982. He also was the 15th Secretary of Finance, serving from 1968 to 1970 under the Marcos administration.
