Metropolitan Manila,commonly shortened to Metro Manila and formally the National Capital Region,is the capital region and largest metropolitan area of the Philippines. Located on the eastern shore of Manila Bay,the region lies between the Central Luzon and Calabarzon regions. Encompassing an area of 636.00 km2 (245.56 sq mi) and with a population of 13,484,462 as of 2020,it consists of sixteen highly urbanized cities:Manila—the capital city—Caloocan,Las Piñas,Makati,Malabon,Mandaluyong,Marikina,Muntinlupa,Navotas,Parañaque,Pasay,Pasig,Quezon City,San Juan,Taguig,and Valenzuela,along with one independent municipality,Pateros. As the second most populous and the most densely populated region in the Philippines,it ranks as the 9th most populous metropolitan area in Asia and the 6th most populous urban area in the world.

Rodolfo "Pong" Gaspar Biazon was a Filipino politician and Philippine Marine Corps general. He was the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in early 1991 and then served as a Senator from 1992 to 1995 and from 1998 to 2010.
The Tunasan River,also referred to as the Tunasan–Cuyab River,is a river system in the Philippines. The river begins at the border of San Pedro,Laguna and Dasmariñas,Cavite,and ends 9 kilometers (5.6 mi) at the border of San Pedro and Muntinlupa. It is one of 21 major tributaries of Laguna de Bay.
Rozzano Rufino "Ruffy" Bunoan Biazon is a Filipino politician currently serving as the mayor of Muntinlupa since 2022. He previously represented Muntinlupa's at-large district in the Philippine House of Representatives from 2001 to 2010 and from 2016 to 2022. He has also served as Commissioner of Bureau of Customs from 2011 to 2013. From 1991 to 1992,he also served as a board member of the Videogram Regulatory Board. He is the son of former senator Rodolfo Biazon.
Tunasan is a barangay in Muntinlupa,Philippines. It is the southernmost barangay of Metro Manila,located in the southern section of the city bordering the province of Laguna. The total land area of the barangay is 9.596 km2 (3.705 sq mi),the largest in the city. According to the 2020 census,it has a population of 61,374.

The Sucat People's Park,also known simply as Sucat Park and Sucmun Park,is a lakefront park on the shore of Laguna de Bay in Muntinlupa,Metro Manila,Philippines. It is a public community park in a reclaimed portion of the village of Sucat just north of the Sucat Thermal Power Plant on the border between Purok 3 and Purok 4,east of Don Juan Bayview Subdivision. Entry is from M.L. Quezon Street and Meralco Road from the Sucat Interchange of the South Luzon Expressway and Dr. Santos Avenue.
The COVID-19 pandemic in Metro Manila was a part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. The virus reached Metro Manila on January 30,2020,when the first case of COVID-19 in the Philippines was confirmed in Manila. Metro Manila is the worst affected region in the Philippines,where most cases in the country are recorded. A state of calamity and community quarantine was declared in the region on March 15.
The 2022 Philippine House of Representatives elections in Metro Manila were held on May 9,2022,to elect the thirty-three representatives to the House of Representatives of the Philippines representing various areas in the National Capital Region. The elections coincided with the presidential election,the senatorial election,and the local elections. The representatives were elected via first past the post,in which the candidate with the most votes will be elected as representative for that district.
