Imaculada is the fifth album by Brazilian singer Alice Caymmi, released on 15 October 2021. [1] [2] [5] [6] It was produced by Caymmi herself and Vivian Kuczynski. [1] [6] [7]
Unlike the previous album, in which she covered other people's songs, in Imaculada almost every song is written by her. The album is the outcome of that was supposed to be a 2020 album announced in 2019, Elétrika. [7]
Speaking of the album, Caymmi said "abuse and forgiveness are topics that come to the fore", considered it autobiographical and saw it as "a reunion of Millennials with Generation Z". She considers it a pop album that "come more side-by-side with pop punk with a more intense rock touch". [8]
About the album's title (Portuguese for "immaculate"), homonymous to its last track, she said the word has a dose of mystery: "How immaculate? Why? What's the connocation? It always depends on your point of view." [6]
The cover is signed by Giovanni Bianco, who describes it as follows: "She [Caymmi] is depicted as a saint of a religiousness that doesn't exist. It's quite sensual. She's dressed up, but there's much transparency. People can see it as a Venus by Botticelli." [2]
On the single "Serpente", Caymmi says "Eu tenho o direito de me expressar/ E viver do jeito que eu quiser viver" ("I have the right to express myself / And live how I want to live"); according to her, this message can be directed to several different people who caused her pain. [2] The singer saw it as an autobiographical track, something she doesn't usually do. [9] Also according to her, the "final message" of the album is of "forgiveness as an alternative, as choosing to live". [6]
On 9 October 2021, Caymmi released a video for the single "Serpente", which she wrote with Maffalda, Rodrigo Gorky and Zebu. [4] [7] In the video, she appears half-naked in some scenes, something "liberating" for her, who though gaining 20 kilograms (44 lb) during the COVID-19 pandemic would spell the end of her career. [2]
The album was announced on 11 October 2021 through the singer's social media accounts. [5] It features several guest performers such as producer Kuczynski herself and Urias, Number Teddie and Mulú. According to Caymmi, having this team of guests resulted from living with several artists during the pandemic. [2]

In his blog on G1 , journalist Mauro Ferreira wrote a mixed review, saying the album is "far from being the carioca singer and composer's best one because it exposes the fragilities of the artist's authorial work. However, it may be Alice's most personal and sincere album." He pointed out the lyrics about overcoming and reaffirmation and also considered that in Imaculada "Alice Caymmi has the merits of being herself. It's a pity that the great singer is occluded by the majority of the 10 tracks (..)." [3]

Dorival Caymmi was a Brazilian singer, songwriter, actor, and painter active for more than 70 years, beginning in 1933. He contributed to the birth of Brazil's bossa nova movement, and several of his samba pieces, such as "Samba da Minha Terra", "Doralice" and "Saudade da Bahia", have become staples of música popular brasileira (MPB). Equally notable are his ballads celebrating the fishermen and women of Bahia, including "Promessa de Pescador", "O Que É Que a Baiana Tem?", and "Milagre". Caymmi composed about 100 songs in his lifetime, and many of his works are now considered to be Brazilian classics. Both Brazilian and non-Brazilian musicians have covered his songs.

Como Estão Vocês? is the twelfth studio album released by Brazilian rock band Titãs. It was the first album by the band without vocalist/bassist Nando Reis and also the first without any contribution by guitarist Marcelo Fromer. Fromer died after being hit by a motorcycle on 11 June 2001, but his ideas were still used for their then upcoming album A Melhor Banda de Todos os Tempos da Última Semana which would be recorded a few days later. Reis left the group in 2002 stating he wasn't prepared to record another album due to still being shaken by the deaths of both Fromer and his friend Cássia Eller. It is also their first release via BMG, following Abril Music's bankrupt.
Titanomaquia (Titanomachy) is the seventh album released by Brazilian rock band Titãs, released on 10 July 1993. Titãs is the debut album of Brazilian rock band Titãs. It is the only album to feature André Jung on drums. The album also features Pena Schmidt's production and some contributions from vocalist Ciro Pessoa, who founded the band only to quit before the album was released. Though the album sold poorly, it generated some hit singles and secured some performances at popular TV shows such as the ones presented by Chacrinha and Hebe Camargo. By August 1997, its total sales were at 109,000.
"Sonífera Ilha" is the debut single by Brazilian rock band Titãs, released in 1984. The song, as well as its b-side "Toda Cor", was co-composed by Ciro Pessoa, one of the lead singers and founding members of the group, who would leave the band before the release of their first, self-titled album, in which the single and the b-side were included. Alice Caymmi is the debut album by the Brazilian artist of the same name, released in 2012, produced by Flávio Mendes, with Caymmi being the art director herself. She described the album as follows: "The album has an aquatic environment, a reference to my grandfather, to the mythic sea he created. But I like the more obscure things. I brought the more tragic side of his songs, the night sea, darker. [...] Not that I feel I am the avant-guarde-ist, but I want out of the comfort zone. I could have made the album one would expect from the young granddaughter of Caymmi. But there would be no album, it wouldn't be so emotional. For this album, I wanted the noise, the noise language. I don't think I made it, because the songs didn't have this head. But I tried to bring them to this tragic, noisy environment of sea, of night". Originally, the album would be entirely performed by Alice alone and would feature seven tracks. However, producer Flávio Mendes convinced her to enlarge the track list and invite more musicians.
Rainha dos Raios is the second album by Brazilian singer Alice Caymmi, released on 9 September 2014. It is her first album via Joia Moderna and with producer Diogo Strausz. While her previous album, Alice Caymmi, consisted mostly of original songs and two covers, Rainha dos Raios does the opposite and brings covers and two original tracks. According to Caymmi, this shift came after a few changes she went through - she said she is no longer performing songs from the previous album. She commented:
It's my album, and, without trying to be a showoff, I listen to it a lot, because it says a lot about my life. I did this album thinking of what I stop to listen to, the things I like to listen to and the way I like to do it. It looks like I made the album for me. I laugh, play and remind of many moments.
Electra is the fourth album by Brazilian singer Alice Caymmi, released on 27 May 2019. It was produced by Caymmi herself and DJ Zé Pedro, who helped her choose the repertoire, and recorded in just two days. The album features only Caymmi and a pianist, with no additional musicians involved.
