In the Eyes of God is the fifth studio album by the American noisegrind band Today Is the Day, released on July 20, 1999, by Relapse Records. [4] It is the only album by the group to feature Brann Dailor and Bill Kelliher, who would both move on to form Mastodon. First issued in 1999 on CD and vinyl formats, the LP was a limited edition of 1,000 total: 900 black copies sold to the public, and 100 clear copies that were given away as gifts to the staff of Relapse.

In 2010, a deluxe reissue of the album was released as a CD, containing six demos written during the early stages of the album's production and a DVD that contain footage of a live concert filmed during the tour for the album. The 2010 reissue was released as an edition of 3000 [5] [6] The album was reissued again on CD and LP formats through The End Records, with digital and CD versions containing an extra disc containing early demo versions of each track on the album. [7] The album's title track was originally written in response to the Waco siege. [8]

Most of the band's recordings make extensive use of dissonance and sampling, as well as unusual production techniques and psychedelic overtones. Lyrical themes include depression, warfare, violence, altered states of consciousness, and mental disorders.

Lethargy was an American technical death metal and mathcore band formed in Rochester, New York by vocalist Erik Burke, drummer Brann Dailor, and bassist Adam Routier. They would create their first demo titled Lost in This Existence in 1993. Bill Kelliher would join the band as a guitarist in 1994 replacing Stephan Nedwetzky and Brian Steltz. The band would create two more demos titled Tainted and Humor Me, You Funny Little Man. Their last performance was on Christmas night of 1999. Drummer Brann Dailor and guitarist Bill Kelliher would later appear in Today Is the Day and Mastodon. Guitarist and vocalist Erik Burke is currently active in Nuclear Assault, Sulaco, Kalibas, Brutal Truth, and B.C.T..

Medium Rarities is a compilation album by American metal band Mastodon. It was released digitally and on limited edition vinyl on September 11, 2020 via Reprise Records. The album is a collection of rare tracks that include covers, instrumental versions of previous songs, and live recordings. Its opening track, a new song titled "Fallen Torches", was released on July 31, 2020. The song features Scott Kelly from Neurosis for his final guest appearance with Mastodon before his withdrawal from the public eye that was not announced until August 2022.
