A slightly different version of "Velvet Voyage" is included on the reissue. An excerpt from "In cosa crede chi non crede?", the bonus track on the reissue, was previously released on Trailer (1999), a compilation CD released to promote the release of Schulze's 50-disc CD box set The Ultimate Edition (2000). In 2017, a newly remastered 40th Anniversary Edition was released.

It is Schulze's first fully digital recording. Contemporary Works I is a limited-edition 10-disc CD box set released by Klaus Schulze in 2000 containing new studio material. The CDs are in cardboard sleeves and housed in a wooden box. Two years later Schulze released Contemporary Works II. Six of the discs have been reissued in 2005–2007 as part of the overall reissue program of Schulze back catalog by Revisited Records. Three more have been reissued in 2016–2018 by the label MiG.

La Vie Electronique is a series of 3-disc CD releases by Klaus Schulze, reissuing material from his limited edition 50-disc CD box set The Ultimate Edition (2000), which itself collected the previously released limited edition multi-disc box sets Silver Edition, Historic Edition, and Jubilee Edition, along with an additional 5 discs. The series began in 2009 with a plan to release all the music from The Ultimate Edition in chronological order. Four volumes were released in 2009, and four more were released in 2010. The next two volumes were released in 2011, with the next two following in 2012. The thirteenth volume was released in 2013, and the fourteenth and fifteenth volumes in 2014. The sixteenth and final volume, containing five CDs rather than the usual three, was released on May 29th, 2015.
Shadowlands is the forty-first album by Klaus Schulze. Taking in consideration the previously released multi-disc box sets, it could be viewed as Schulze's one hundred and second album. This is Klaus Schulze's first solo studio album since 2007's Kontinuum. Shadowlands was released on February 22, 2013 in two editions, with the limited edition containing an additional CD with two bonus tracks.

Taking in consideration the previously released multi-disc box sets, it could be viewed as Schulze's one hundred and third album. This series of volumes chronicles Klaus Schulze's European tour with Lisa Gerrard in 2009.
