The Arthur Grumiaux International Violin Competition is a violin competition held in Brussels, Belgium. [1] [2] First held in 2008 under the name of "Bravo", [3] in 2015 the competition was renamed in honor of the violinist Arthur Grumiaux. [4] [5] The competition takes place at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in Belgium.
The competition was created in 2008 at the "Institut Supérieur de Musique et de Pédagogie in Namur", [6] originally under the name of "Bravo!" competition. [7] It took place each year at the Institut [8] and since 2017 in the Royal Conservatoire in Brussels. In 2015, the competition was supported by the foundation Baron Arthur Grumiaux [9] and was renamed International Arthur Grumiaux Competition for Young Violinists. [10] The same year, Princess Léa of Belgium rewarded the winners at the Royal Theater of Namur. The competition is international and was represented in 2016 by 27 different nationalities
Since 2016 edition, Musiq'3 became the official partner of the project [11] and in the same year, the Belgian TV news RTBF show a spot on television [12]
There are three age categories : Category I (0-11 y.o.), Category II (12-16 y.o.) and Category III (17-21 y.o.)

The Radio-télévision belge de la Communauté française, shortened to RTBF, is a public service broadcaster delivering radio and television services to the French-speaking Community of Belgium, in Wallonia and Brussels. Its counterpart in the Flemish Community is the Dutch-language VRT, and in the German-speaking Community it is BRF.
BaronArthur Grumiaux was a Belgian violinist, considered by some to have been "one of the few truly great violin virtuosi of the twentieth century". He has been noted for having a "consistently beautiful tone and flawless intonation". English music critic and broadcaster, Edward Greenfield wrote of him that he was "a master virtuoso who consistently refused to make a show of his technical prowess".
Belgium participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 1998 with the song "Dis oui" written by Philippe Swan. The song was performed by Mélanie Cohl. The Walloon broadcaster Radio Télévision Belge de la Communauté Française (RTBF) returned to the Eurovision Song Contest after a one-year absence following their relegation from 1997 as one of the six countries with the least average points over the preceding four contests. The Belgian entry for the 1998 contest in Birmingham, United Kingdom was selected through the national final Finale Nationale Concours Eurovision de la Chanson 1998, organised by RTBF. In the final on 13 March 1998 which featured ten competing entries, "Dis oui" performed by Mélanie Cohl was selected as the winner solely by public televoting, receiving 15,424 votes.

VivaCité is a Belgian public service radio station operated by RTBF. The station launched on 29 February 2004 from the merger of regional network Fréquence Wallonie and Brussels station Bruxelles Capitale. VivaCité is the French-language equivalent of VRT Radio 2.

The Belgian entry for the 2000 contest in Stockholm, Sweden was selected through the national final Finale Nationale Concours Eurovision de la Chanson 2000, organised by the Walloon broadcaster Radio Télévision Belge de la Communauté Française (RTBF). In the final on 18 February 2000 which featured ten competing entries, "Envie de vivre" performed by Nathalie Sorce was selected as the winner solely by public televoting, receiving 21,362 votes.

Jodie Devos was a Belgian operatic coloratura soprano, the second-prize winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2014. Based at the Opéra-Comique in Paris from 2014, she appeared internationally, with a focus on the French repertoire such as Philine in Mignon and Ophélie in Hamlet, both by Ambroise Thomas, and the title role of Lakmé by Leo Delibes. She performed as Susanna in Mozart's le nozze di Figaro, the title role of Donizetti's La fille du régiment, and as Gilda in Verdi's Rigoletto at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie, Olympia in Offenbach's Les contes de Hoffmann at the Opéra Bastille, and as Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor at the Grand Théâtre de Québec.
Alexandre Kantorow is a French pianist. Described by Gramophone as a "fire-breathing virtuoso with a poetic charm" and by Fanfare as "Liszt reincarnated", he won the first prize, gold medal and Grand Prix at the 16th International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2019. With this win, Kantorow became the first French winner in the history of the competition.
The Eurovision Young Musicians 2022 was the 20th edition of the Eurovision Young Musicians. It took place at the Corum in Montpellier, France on 23 July 2022. The live show was hosted by French playwright Judith Chaine and Belgian radio presenter Vincent Delbushaye, with the Montpellier Occitanie National Opera Orchestra conducted by Pierre Dumoussaud. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), this edition was co-hosted by French broadcasters Radio France and France Télévisions, as part of a summer series of music events called Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier.

Bartu Elci-Ozsoy is a violinist, conductor, and composer. He made his triple debut in Paris at the age of 15 by conducting his 1st Symphony and playing the Violin Concerto of Mendelssohn on 26 May 2019 with the Orchestre Sinfonietta at the Théâtre des Variétés. He also conducted the 29th Symphony of Mozart at the same concert.
