International Wrestling League (IWL) (Liga Internacional de Lucha Libre in Spanish) is a professional wrestling promotion based in Deportivo Tlalli, in Tlalnepantla, Mexico State.
It was founded as Independent Wrestling League on August 13, 2010 by Martín Amaro, with Octavio Rivero as the head booker. In late 2010 Rivero was replaced by Amaro's niece, Ángeles Rubio, under whom IWL started a working agreement with Perros del Mal Producciones. Rubio would leave the promotion for personal reasons in April 2011. He was followed as the head booker by wrestler Fantasma de la Ópera, who started a working relationship with AAA. On May 28, 2011, it was announced that Fantasma de la Ópera would be replaced by Valerie Richter. [1] In a press conference held on June 21, 2011, Richter announced that the company would change its name to International Wrestling League. [2]
IWL was the first Mexican wrestling promotion to broadcast a live Internet pay-per-view. [3] The iPPV was called "The Mad Man Takes Over Mexico!" and was aired on July 3, 2011. American hardcore wrestler Mad Man Pondo was the headliner in this show.
On July 15, 2011, Richter announced that IWL will incorporate a timekeeper, a ringbell and time limit for the matches, [4] something that is common in the U.S. and Japan, but unheard of in Mexico. On January 4, 2012, Richter announced that she had parted ways with IWL due to creative differences. [5]

Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre Co., Ltd. is a lucha libre professional wrestling promotion based in Mexico City. The promotion was previously known as Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre (EMLL). Founded in 1933, it is the oldest professional wrestling promotion still in existence.
Adolfo Margarito Tapia Ibarra is a Mexican luchador enmascarado, who currently performs as L. A. Park for Major League Wrestling in the United States, where he is a former MLW World Tag Team Champion. He also performs for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) in Mexico. He is best known throughout the world as La Parka, especially from his many years in the American World Championship Wrestling promotion. He has worked for every major and multiple minor wrestling promotions in Mexico, as well as participating on multiple wrestling tours in Japan. He is a three-time world champion, having held the IWC World Heavyweight, IWC World Hardcore, and IWL World Heavyweight championships all once. He is also a two-time world tag team champion.
Héctor Solano Segura was a Mexican professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Héctor Garza. During his career he worked for various major Mexican professional wrestling promotions such as Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), Perros del Mal Producciones and, at the time of death, AAA. Garza also worked for several major promotions such as World Championship Wrestling (WCW), the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) in the United States.
The AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship is a tag team title contested for in the Mexican lucha libre promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA). The championship is exclusively for teams composed of one male wrestler and one female wrestler. The current champions are Abismo Negro Jr. and Flammer.
The AAA World Cruiserweight Championship is a professional wrestling championship contested for in the Mexican lucha libre promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA). The championship cannot be competed for by anyone who is over the Cruiserweight division weight limit of 105 kg (231 lb). Traditionally this division is labelled as the "Junior Heavyweight" division in Mexico while "Cruiserweight" is a term more used in the United States or Canada.

The NWA World Historic Light Heavyweight Championship is a professional wrestling championship promoted by Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). CMLL had held the NWA World Light Heavyweight Championship for over 48 years, when the relationship between the promotion and National Wrestling Alliance broke down in March 2010. Blue Demon Jr., the president of NWA Mexico, sent letters to CMLL, telling them to stop promoting the NWA-branded championships since they were no longer part of the NWA. On August 12, 2010, CMLL debuted the new NWA World Historic Light Heavyweight Championship belt and named El Texano Jr., the final CMLL-recognized NWA World Light Heavyweight Champion, as the inaugural champion.
The AAA World Trios Championship is a professional wrestling championship promoted by the Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) promotion in Mexico. It is contested for by teams of three wrestlers. The creation of the title was first announced in May 2011, when AAA started a tournament, set to end at Triplemanía XIX, to determine the first champions. The physical belts were designed and crafted by All Star Championship Belts.
Leornardo Carrera Lizarraga is a Mexican luchador or professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Bestia 666. He is currently working for various promotions across Mexico, while also performing in the United States for several California-based promotions. Bestia 666's father is professional wrestler Leonardo Carrera, who performs as Damián 666 and who inspired his son's current character. He is the current leader of La Rebelión Amarilla. He is a former one time NWA World Tag Team Champion.

He is the son of the original Carta Brava and actually has a brother who uses the same name and mask, working as "Carta Brava Jr." as well. His name is Spanish for Fight Card.
Ricardo Antonio Morales Gonzalez, better known under the ring name Cerebro Negro, is a Mexican luchador, or masked professional wrestler currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) portraying a rudo wrestling character as well as a number of independent promotions.
The CMLL Universal Championship 2014 was a professional wrestling tournament produced by the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) promotion, which took place over three Super Viernes shows between August 15 and 29, 2014, in Arena México, Mexico City, Mexico. The CMLL Universal Championship is an annual tournament of CMLL champions that was first held in 2009 and has been held annually ever since. Being a professional wrestling tournament, it is not won legitimately; it is instead won via predetermined outcomes to the matches that is kept secret from the general public.
Edgar Gabriel Morales Correa, better known under the ring name Loco Max is a Mexican luchador, or masked professional wrestler currently on the Mexican professional wrestling independent circuit portraying a rudo wrestling character. As Loco Max Morales worked for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) for many years where he was a part of groups known as Pandilla Guerrera and Los Guerreros Tuareg and also held the Mexican National Lightweight Championship.
Javier Espinosa Romero is a Mexican luchador, or masked professional wrestler best known under the ring name Tony Rivera. As Rivera he is currently working on the Mexican professional wrestling independent circuit portraying a tecnico wrestling character. Rivera worked for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) for over 10 years, followed by him working on the Mexican independent circuit, particularly for International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) and International Wrestling League (IWL). He originally worked as an Enmascarado or masked wrestler under the ring names Paris and Renegado but has used the name Tony Rivera since 1996. Following his departure from CMLL he became an advocate for wrestlers rights and pay, including Rivera organizing a blockade of one of CMLL's major shows, the 2011 Juicio Final.
Miguel Ángel Olivo Castro, better known by the ring name Daga, is a Mexican professional wrestler. He is a former AAA Latin American Champion and AAA World Cruiserweight Champion. He has also worked for Lucha Underground and Impact Wrestling.
Lady Shani is the ring name of a Mexican luchadora enmascarada, or masked professional wrestler, currently under contract with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. She made her debut in 2009 and until 2015 worked under the more generic name Sexy Lady before adopting her current name that same year. Initially she portrayed a ruda but in 2017 she changed sides and became a tecnica. She is the cousin of Ludark Shaitan, with whom she both teamed with and fought against early in her career. Lady Shani's real name is not a matter of public record, which is traditional for masked wrestlers in Mexico who have not been unmasked.
