Intersection (stylized INTERSECTION) was a Japanese boy band formed by Avex in 2018. They disbanded on March 31, 2022.

History

Avex created Intersection's concept in 2015 after scouting the members, forming the group on the basis of the group's members having mixed ancestry in an attempt to break into the international music market. [1] [2] Prior to debuting, Kazuma Mitchell was an exclusive model for Men's Non-no and a student at Harvard University, while William Aoyama was a Junior Olympic swimmer. [1]

In October 2018, they released their digital debut single, "Heart of Gold", followed by "Falling" in November 2018, "Body Language" in December 2018, and "You're the Reason" in July 2019. [3] In July 2019, Intersection was announced as the performer of the ending theme song to the 2019 anime adaptation of Fruits Basket with the song "One Step Closer." [4] Later, on August 21, 2019, they released their first album, Intersection, digitally, with the song "You're the Reason" as the promotional track. [5] [6] [7] In January 2020, they were announced as the performers of the ending theme song to the third season of Black Clover with the song "New Page." [3]

In 2021, Kazuma, Caelan, and Mika participated in the Chinese reality survival program Produce Camp 2021 . While Kazuma left the show and Caelan was eliminated in the final episode, Mika placed 4th in the competition; he subsequently debuted in the Chinese boy band Into1. [8]

She is best known for her roles such as Rikka Takanashi in Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, Norman in The Promised Neverland, Sharo Kirima in Is the Order a Rabbit?, Lililuka Arde in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Hiyori Iki in Noragami, Catarina Claes in My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! and Angel Devil in Chainsaw Man.

Haruka Fukuhara is a Japanese actress, singer and model from Saitama Prefecture. From 2009 to 2012, she starred in Cooking Idol! I! My! Main as Main Hiiragi, portraying the character in both animated and live-action segments. Following the series' end, she has starred in multiple television and film projects including Good Morning Call, Futari Monologue, Koe Girl!, Coffee & Vanilla, Hitsuji to Ōkami no Koi to Satsu-jin, and Laid-Back Camp. In animation, Fukuhara has provided the voice to Himari Arisugawa/Cure Custard in Kirakira PreCure a la Mode.

Kazuyoshi Saito is a Japanese singer-songwriter. Making his professional debut in 1993, Saito's popularity exploded in 2007 after 15 years in the music industry. He is also one-half of the rock duo Mannish Boys with Tatsuya Nakamura and a member of the supergroup the Curling Sitones. In 2013, Saito became the first Japanese musician to have a signature model acoustic guitar with Gibson. As of 2020, he had six signature models with them and one with Epiphone.

Mika Hashizume is a Japanese-American singer and model. He is a member of the Japanese boy group Intersection and the Chinese boy group Into1, the latter after placing fourth in the Chinese reality competition program Produce Camp 2021. He made his solo debut in 2018 with the single "Tell Me".

The group moved to Los Angeles, California in March 2022, to study English and train with local choreographers and vocal coaches.

Vaundy is a Japanese musician. He started his career in 2019 by independently uploading online, before breaking out late in the year with the song "Tokyo Flash". He has released songs for multiple TV shows, including "Chainsaw Blood" for Chainsaw Man and "Hadaka no Yuusha" for Ranking of Kings.
