The Italian Artistic Gymnastics Championships (Italian : Campionati italiani assoluti di ginnastica artistica) are the highest-level individual competition in artistic gymnastics in Italy. The first edition was held in 1925. [1]
The championships are organized by the Italian Gymnastics Federation (FGI) and include men's and women's competitions in standard gymnastics disciplines.
The championships are called "assoluti" ("absolute") in the sense that all gymnasts, with no distinction between juniors and seniors, can compete in them. The winner claims the title of "Champion of Italy".
In 1977 the sports club Ginnastica Romana proposed to combine the male and female championships, for the first time in Italy alternating men's events with women's ones. [2] [3]

Vanessa Ferrari is an Italian artistic gymnast. She was the 2006 World All-Around Champion and competed for Italy at the 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal on floor exercise in 2020. In doing so, Ferrari became the first Italian to win an individual Olympic medal in Women's Artistic Gymnastics, and the first medallist for the Italian women's team since the 1928 Summer Olympics. She is a five-time World medallist and eight-time European medallist, and is currently the most decorated Italian gymnast of all time.
The Italian Figure Skating Championships are a competition held annually to determine the national champions of Italy. Medals may be awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, ice dancing, and synchronized skating.
The Italian National Badminton Championships is a tournament organized to crown the best badminton players in Italy. The tournament started in 1977.
The Italian Athletics Championships are the national championships in athletics, organised every year by the Federazione Italiana di Atletica Leggera.
Carlotta Ferlito is an Italian artistic gymnast. Since starting her senior career in 2011, Ferlito has won two medals at the European Championships and represented her country at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. She is the first Italian gymnast to compete the "Mustafina" on floor.

Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, ice dancing, and synchronized skating on the senior and junior levels. The results are among the criteria used to choose Italy's teams for ISU Championships.
Iosra Abdelaziz is a retired Italian artistic gymnast. She represented Italy at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics and won the silver medal on the uneven bars.
Enus Mariani is a retired Italian artistic gymnast. She is the 2012 Junior European all-around champion.

Giorgia Villa is an Italian artistic gymnast. She was a member of the historic team that won bronze at the 2019 World Championships in Stuttgart, and was part of the gold-winning team at both the 2022 Mediterranean Games and the 2022 European Championships. Individually, she is the 2018, 2020, and 2021 Italian national champion, the 2018 Youth Olympic champion, and the 2018 European junior all-around and beam champion. She is also a member of the Italian national team.

Asia D'Amato is an Italian artistic gymnast. She represented Italy at the 2020 Olympic Games. Individually she is the 2021 World vault silver medalist, the 2022 European all-around champion and vault silver medalist, the 2019 and 2020 Italian national champion, and the 2018 Junior European vault champion. She is a member of the Italian National Team and is the twin sister of Alice D'Amato.
Alice D'Amato is an Italian artistic gymnast. She represented Italy at the 2020 Olympic Games. She was a member of the teams that won bronze at the 2019 World Championships and gold at the 2022 European Championships. Individually she is the 2023 European champion, 2022 European silver medalist, and 2019 European bronze medalist and on the uneven bars. Additionally she is the 2023 European all-around bronze medalist. She is the twin sister of Asia D'Amato.
Federica Macrì is an Italian former artistic gymnast who competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics. She was a member of the Italian team that won the gold medal at the 2006 European Championships.
The 9th European Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics Individual Championships were held from 21–25 April 2021 at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland. The 2021 European Championships were an Olympic qualifying event, with two individual spots available for both disciplines. Russia earned a non-nominative quota spot in both disciplines, while Turkey's Adem Asil and Romania's Larisa Iordache qualified nominative berths for themselves in men's and women's artistic gymnastics, respectively.
Martina Maggio is an Italian artistic gymnast. She represented Italy at the 2020 Olympic Games. She was a member of the gold medal winning teams at the 2022 Mediterranean Games and the 2022 European Championships. She was also the alternate for the team who won bronze at the 2019 World Championships in Stuttgart. Individually she is the 2022 Mediterranean Games all-around champion, the 2022 European all-around bronze medalist, the 2022 European silver medalist on floor, and 2016 European junior vault champion.
Caterina Barloggio is a retired Swiss artistic gymnast. She competed in three European Championships and four World Championships.
Yumin Abbadini is an Italian artistic gymnast who won silver medal with the team at the 2022 European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships. In October 2022 he won the all-around at the Italian national championships.
