Manrique Larduet Bicet (born 10 July 1996) [2] is a Cuban artistic gymnast. At the 2015 World Championships, he won the silver medal in the all-around- becoming Cuba's first World all-around medalist. He is also the 2015 World horizontal bar bronze medalist, and he represented Cuba at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He is the 2015 Pan American Games vault champion and all-around silver medalist. He is the 2018 Pan American all-around champion and a two-time Pan American champion on the parallel bars (2013, 2018) At the 2014 Pan American Sports Festival he won medals in every event, including the all-around gold. He withdrew from the 2020 Summer Olympics due to a dispute with the Cuban Gymnastics Federation, and he now lives and trains in Italy.
Larduet began gymnastics when he was five years old. [3] He moved away from his family to Havana at age nine to train at the National Gymnastics School. [4]
At the 2013 Pan American Championships, Larduet won gold on vault and parallel bars and silver on floor exercise behind Diego Hypólito. [5] [6] He won the all-around and parallel bars titles at the 2014 Pan American Sports Festival. He also won silver medals on the floor exercise, pommel horse, rings, and vault. [7] At the 2014 Pan American Championships, he won the all-around silver medal behind Jossimar Calvo. [8] He also won the horizontal bar silver medal behind Calvo and the parallel bars silver medal behind Jorge Hugo Giraldo. [9] Then at the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games, he won the all-around and vault gold medals. He won four silver medals in the event finals, and the Cuban team won the bronze medal. [10]
For the first time since 2003, Cuba sent gymnasts to the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup series, including Larduet. At the Anadia World Challenge Cup, he won gold medals on the vault, floor exercise, and horizontal bar, and he won silver medals on parallel bars and still rings. [11] He then represented Cuba at the 2015 Pan American Games and won the silver medal in the all-around final behind Sam Mikulak. Then in the event finals, he won gold on vault, silver on parallel bars, and bronze on rings. [12] Cuba also sent Larduet and other gymnasts to the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships for the first time since 2003. [3] Larduet won the silver medal in the all-around behind Japan's Kōhei Uchimura. This marked the first time a Cuban gymnast won a World medal in the all-around competition. [3] [13] He then won the bronze medal in the horizontal bar final behind Uchimura and Danell Leyva. [14] This medal secured his qualification for the 2016 Olympic Games. [15]
Larduet began the Olympic season at the Doha World Cup and won the silver medal on the parallel bars behind Oleg Stepko. [16] Then at the Osijek World Cup, he won another silver medal on the parallel bars, this time behind Emin Garibov. [17] At this competition, he became the first gymnast to perform a double front somersault with a full twist dismount off the parallel bars, and this skill was named after him in the Code of Points. [18] He then represented Cuba at the 2016 Summer Olympics. During the qualification round, he made a major mistake on vault, but he still qualified for the all-around final in 15th place. [19] During the all-around final, he injured his ankle on vault and withdrew from the rest of the event. [20] Despite the injury, he competed in the parallel bars and horizontal bar finals, finishing fifth and sixth, respectively. [21] [22]
Due to the injury sustained at the Olympic Games, Larduet did not resume training until July 2017. [23] He competed at the 2017 World Championships in Montreal. During the qualification round, he finished first place in the all-around. [24] However, in the all-around final, he finished in fifth place, missing the podium by 0.400. [25] In the event finals, he finished seventh on the floor exercise and fourth on parallel bars. [26]
At the 2018 Guimarães World Challenge Cup, Larduet won gold medals on the rings, vault, and parallel bars. [27] Then at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games, he won the all-around title as well as gold medals on rings and parallel bars. He also won silver medals on pommel horse, vault, and with the Cuban team, and he won bronze on the horizontal bar. [1] He also won the all-around title at the 2018 Pan American Championships. In the event finals, he won gold on parallel bars and silver on floor exercise and pommel horse. [28] He then competed at the 2018 World Championships but did not advance into any finals. [29]
In January 2019, Larduet received stem cell treatment for prolonged wrist injuries, and he missed the 2019 Pan American Games as a result. [23] He competed at the 2019 World Championships and qualified for the all-around final, ensuring his qualification for the 2020 Olympic Games. [30] [31] However, he withdrew from the final. [32]
In 2020, Larduet's head coach was suspended by the Cuban Gymnastics Federation. [33] In May 2021, Larduet announced on his Instagram account that he was no longer training and would not compete at the postponed-2020 Summer Olympics. [34] This was confirmed in July when the Cuban Olympic Committee announced its delegation for the Olympic Games without Larduet. [35]
In 2022, Larduet moved to Italy and began training there. [36] He competed at the 2023 Italian Championships as a guest and received the highest all-around total. [37]

Yernar Saparbekovich Yerimbetov is a Kazakhstani artistic gymnast. He is the 2006 Asian Games vault bronze medalist and the 2003 Summer Universiade vault and parallel bars champion and all-around silver medalist. He represented Kazakhstan at the 2004 Summer Olympics, finishing 14th in the all-around and eighth in the parallel bars final.
Kōhei Uchimura is a retired Japanese artistic gymnast. He is a seven-time Olympic medalist, winning three golds and four silvers, and a 21-time World medalist.
Robert Tvorogal is a Lithuanian artistic gymnast. He is the 2019 European Games champion on the horizontal bar. He became the first Lithuanian to win a gold medal at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships when he won the horizontal bar title at the 2020 European Championships. He is also the 2022 European horizontal bar silver medalist and the 2020 European parallel bars bronze medalist. He represented Lithuania at the 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics.
Elsabeth Ann Black is a Canadian artistic gymnast. She is a four-time Olympian, having represented her country at the 2012, 2016, 2020, and 2024 Olympic games. She is the 2017 World all-around silver medalist, making her the first Canadian gymnast to win a world all-around medal, and she led the Canadian women's gymnastics team to a bronze medal in the 2022 World Championships team final, the first world team medal won by a Canadian gymnastics team. She won a silver medal on the balance beam at the 2022 World Championships. She is also the 2018 Commonwealth Games all-around champion, a two-time Pan American Games all-around champion, and a six-time Canadian national all-around champion. At the 2020 Olympic Games, Black placed fourth in the balance beam final, the highest placement in the Olympics for a female Canadian gymnast.
Oleg Yuriyovych Verniaiev is a Ukrainian artistic gymnast. He is the 2016 Olympic parallel bars champion and individual all-around silver medalist. Verniaiev is also the 2014 World parallel bars champion, the 2015 European individual all-around champion and the 2017 European individual all-around champion.
Alexa Citlali Moreno Medina is a Mexican artistic gymnast. She is the 2018 World bronze medalist on vault, the first Mexican female gymnast to medal at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. She represented Mexico at the 2016 Summer Olympics where she was the second reserve for the all-around final and at the 2020 Olympics where she placed fourth in the vault final. She will represent Mexico at the 2024 Summer Olympics. She is the 2023 Pan American champion on vault. She won a silver medal on vault at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games and a bronze medal on vault at the 2010 Pacific Rim Championships. She is also a seven-time medalist on the FIG World Cup circuit. She is the 2011 Pan American Games and 2014 and 2018 Pan American Championships team bronze medalist and the 2010, 2014, and 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games team gold medalist.
Rebeca Rodrigues de Andrade is a Brazilian artistic gymnast. She is the 2020 Olympic, 2021 and 2023 World champion on the vault and 2022 World all-around champion. Andrade is the first Brazilian female gymnast to medal at an Olympic Games, and she is only the second Brazilian woman to win a gold medal at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. She is also the 2020 Olympic silver medalist, the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships silver medalist and the 2021 Pan American champion in the all-around, and won silver on the uneven bars at the 2021 World Championships, silver on the floor exercise at the 2023 World Championships, bronze on the balance beam at the 2023 World Championships and a bronze on the floor exercise at the 2022 World Championships. Andrade is one of only 11 female gymnasts to have medalled on every event in the history of World Championships, and one of only three gymnasts to have done so in the 21st century, alongside Simone Biles and Aliya Mustafina.
Nikita Vladimirovich Nagornyy is a Russian artistic gymnast and two-time Olympian, representing Russia in 2016 and ROC in 2020. He was part of the teams who won gold at the 2020 Olympic Games and 2019 World Championships and silver at the 2016 Olympic Games and 2018 World Championships.
The men's horizontal bar competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics was held at the HSBC Arena on 6 and 16 August. There were 71 competitors from 34 nations. The event was won by Fabian Hambüchen of Germany, the nation's first victory in the horizontal bar since 1996 and third overall. Danell Leyva won the United States' third silver medal in four Games in the event; Nile Wilson's bronze was Great Britain's first-ever medal in the horizontal bar.
Marcia Teresa Videaux Jiménez is a Cuban artistic gymnast. She is the 2015 Pan American Games champion and the 2018 Pan American Championships silver medalist on the vault. She is the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games team, all-around, and floor exercise champion and the vault and uneven bars silver medalist. She has won four medals, including two gold, on the FIG World Cup series. She represented Cuba at the 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics.
Andrei Vasile Muntean is a Romanian artistic gymnast. He represented Romania at the 2016 Summer Olympics and placed sixth on the parallel bars. He is the 2017 World University Games vault bronze medalist. He has competed at the World Championships eight times, and he will represent Romania at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Yul Kyung-Tae Moldauer is an American artistic gymnast. He is the 2017 U.S. national all-around champion and the 2017 World bronze medalist on floor exercise. He represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics and was a member of the bronze medal winning team at the 2023 World Championships.
Carlos Edriel Poquiz Yulo is a Filipino artistic gymnast. He is the first Filipino and the first male Southeast Asian gymnast to medal at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships with his floor exercise bronze medal finish in 2018, and the first-ever gold medal finish for the same criteria in 2019 in the same event. With multiple medals on the international stage, Yulo is the most successful Filipino gymnast in history.
Félix Dolci is a Canadian male artistic gymnast. He is the 2023 Pan American Games all-around and floor exercise champion and the 2019 Junior World Champion on rings. He has been a member of the Canadian national team since 2017.

Audrys Nin Reyes is a Dominican artistic gymnast. He is the 2019 and 2023 Pan American Games vault champion. He was the first Dominican gymnast to win a gold medal at the Pan American Games. He was also the first Dominican gymnast to win a gold medal at an FIG World Cup event when he won the vault title at the 2017 Osijek World Challenge Cup. He is the 2017 Pan American vault and horizontal bar champion and the 2017 Universiade vault champion. He is also the 2018 and 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games vault champion. He has qualified to represent the Dominican Republic at the 2024 Summer Olympics, the first male gymnast from his country to do so.
René Cournoyer is a Canadian artistic gymnast. He represented Canada at the 2020 Olympic Games and the 2014 Youth Olympic Games.
Natalia Isabel Escalera Cárdenas is a Mexican artistic gymnast. She is the 2021 Pan American champion and the 2023 Pan American Games bronze medalist on the vault. She will represent Mexico at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Ahtziri Viridiana Sandoval Pérez is a Mexican artistic gymnast. She is the 2017 Pan American vault champion and uneven bars silver medalist. She is the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games uneven bars champion and team and vault bronze medalist. She will represent Mexico at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
At the 1996 World Championships, Annia Portuondo became the first Cuban gymnast to win a medal, earning bronze on vault. Five years later at the 2001 World Championships Charles León Tamayo and Erick López would become the first male Cuban gymnasts to win a medal at the World Championships, earning bronze on vault and silver on parallel bars respectively.
