Ivan Venkov Kolev (Bulgarian : Иван Венков Колев; born 14 July 1957) is a Bulgarian former football player and current manager.

He coached several Indonesian clubs such as Persija Jakarta, Mitra Kukar, and Persipura Jayapura. Between 2012 and 2013, he coached Yangon United. [1]

2007 Asian Cup

In 2007 Asian Cup, Kolev was the coach of Indonesia which played in Group D along with Korea Republic, Bahrain and Saudi Arabian's team. Indonesia won 2–1 of Bahrain, lost 1–2 by Saudi Arabia, and lost again in last matches of groups by South Korea with 0–1.

Loko Sofia

In June 2020, he was announced as manager of Lokomotiv Sofia on a one-year contract. [2]

Nedelcho Lazarov Kolev is a Bulgarian Olympic, European and World Weightlifting Champion. He had success at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow and won 6 gold medals at the world championships in Manila and Havana, Cuba. He has worked as chief coach for the national teams of Bulgaria, Bahrain, India, Thailand and Indonesia. From 1965 to 1980 he competed only for CSKA Sofia club. His coaches were Angel Akrabov and Zdravko Koev. In the national team of Bulgaria was trained by Ivan Abadzhiev. The history of the Indonesia national football team officially dates back to their first international in 1934. The Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI), which governs the team. Prior to Indonesian independence, in the period 1921–1945, the national team used the name Dutch East Indies and was organized by the Dutch East Indies Football Union (NIVU). The team later became a member of the football international governing bodies FIFA in 1928 and participated at the 1938 FIFA World Cup in France as the first Asian country to qualify for the final round of the competition. After the country gained independence, they then rejoined FIFA in 1952 and co-founded AFC in 1954. As of August 2024, Indonesia has qualified for the FIFA World Cup once and the AFC Asian Cups six times.
