Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie, an Algerian professional association football club, has gained entry to Confederation of African Football (CAF) competitions on several occasions. They have represented Algeria in the Champions League on 17 occasions, the Confederation Cup on five occasions, the now-defunct Cup Winners' Cup on two occasions, the now-defunct CAF Cup on four occasions, the CAF Super Cup on one occasion and the African Super Cup on one occasion.
JS Kabylie is the most successful Algerian club at both the national level and the African level with 28 major trophies. At the national level, the club has won the Algerian league a record 14 times, the Algerian Cup five times, the Algerian Super Cup once and the Algerian League Cup once. At the African level, the club has won the most prestigious African competition CAF Champions League twice, in 1981 and 1990, the African Cup Winners' Cup once in 1995, the CAF Cup a record three times in 2000, 2001 and 2002 and the first ever (albeit unofficial) African Super Cup once in 1982. The 1982 African Super Cup is a match which took place on January 25, 1982 during the Tournament of Fraternity in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. JS Kabylie won this trophy against the Cameroonians of Union Douala. The newspaper France Football commented on this event of the birth of the brand new African Super Cup.

Brahim Zafour is a former Algerian football player.
Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie, known as JS Kabylie or JSK, is an Algerian professional football club based in Tizi Ouzou, Kabylia. The club is named after the cultural, natural and historical region that is home to the Kabyle Berber people speaking Kabyle. The club was founded in 1946 and its colours are yellow and green. The club currently plays in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1.
The Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1, known as Championnat National de Première Division or Ligue 1 for short, and formerly known as the Championnat National 1, is the Algerian professional league for association football clubs. It is the country's primary football competition and serves as the top division of the Algerian football league system. Administered by the Ligue de Football Professionnel, it is contested by 16 clubs, with the two lowest-placed teams at the end of each season being relegated to the Ligue 2 and replaced by the top two teams in that division. Hocine Aït Ahmed Stadium is a football stadium located in Boukhalfa, Tizi Ouzou, Kabylia, Algeria. Hocine Aït Ahmed Stadium is owned by the Algerian Ministry of Youth and Sport. With 50,766 seats, it is the third largest stadium in Algeria. The stadium was designed by United States-based construction company Atlas Group subsidiary Atlas Genie Civil Spa they completed the project in 2023 after 13 years of work as they started the construction on May 15, 2010. Replacing the 1 November 1954 Stadium, it is the new home ground of JS Kabylie, since 2024.

The club was founded in 1932 and its colours are red and black. Their home stadium, Salah Takdjerad Stadium, has a capacity of 7,000 spectators. The club is currently playing in the Algerian Ligue 2.
The 2002 CAF Cup marked the 11th edition of Africa's then-tertiary club football tournament organised by CAF for clubs that finished as runners-up in their domestic leagues. The final was played over two legs at Stade du 5 Juillet, Algiers, Algeria and at Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo, Yaoundé, Cameroon. The competition was won by algerian club JS Kabylie, who defeated TKC of Cameroon after an aggregate result of 4–1. Hakim Medane is an Algerian former professional footballer. A midfielder, he played abroad in Portugal and made 28 appearances for the Algeria national team, scoring once. He is the current director general of JS Kabylie.
