Jacob Mason (born June 13, 2000) is a Canadian professional football fullback for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
Mason played U Sports football for the McMaster Marauders from 2018 to 2023. [1] He used a redshirt season in 2019 and did not play in 2020 due to the cancellation of the 2020 U Sports football season. [1]
Mason was drafted in the fifth round, 39th overall, by the Montreal Alouettes in the 2023 CFL Draft and signed with the team on May 11, 2023. [2] Following 2023 training camp, he returned to McMaster to complete his university eligibility. [3] He then returned to the Alouettes later that season when he re-signed on October 5, 2023. [4] Mason finished the season on the practice roster as the Alouettes won the 110th Grey Cup. [3] He then re-signed with the team on November 27, 2023. [3]
In 2024, Mason made the opening day roster and made his professional debut on June 7, 2024, against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. [3]
Chris Van Zeyl is a Canadian former professional gridiron football offensive tackle who played for 15 years in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Montreal Alouettes, Toronto Argonauts, and Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He is a two-time Grey Cup champion with the Argonauts and was named a CFL All-Star three times and CFL East Division All-Star seven times. He was also named the CFL's Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman in 2019. He played CIS Football for the McMaster Marauders as a defensive lineman.
Kyle Quinlan is a former college football quarterback and formerly the co-offensive coordinator for the McMaster Marauders in the Ontario University Athletics conference of U Sports football. He played collegiately with the Marauders of the OUA where he won the Ted Morris Memorial Trophy as the Most Valuable Player in the 47th Vanier Cup, en route to winning the Marauder's first football national championship. In 2012, Quinlan won the Hec Crighton Trophy as the CIS football Most Valuable Player. On April 29, 2013, Quinlan was named the CIS male athlete of the year for 2013.
Spencer Moore is a former professional Canadian football fullback who played for nine years in the Canadian Football League (CFL).
