Davis Alexander (born October 20, 1998) is a American professional football quarterback for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Portland State.
He played college football for the Portland State Vikings. At Portland State, he started for four of his five seasons, throwing 63 touchdowns and 31 interceptions. [1] He finished his career behind Neil Lomax in almost every statistical category for quarterbacks in team history. [2]
In 2022, he debuted with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League. During the final preseason game against the Ottawa Redblacks, Alexander drove the team 71 yards for a 27–26 win. [3] He appeared in 13 regular season games, completing 8 of 13 passes for 89 yards with an interceptions. He played as the team's primary backup in the final game of the regular season behind Dominique Davis. [4] In 2023, he dressed in all 18 regular season games as the backup quarterback, primarily as the third string quarterback after the team signed Caleb Evans in the offseason.
Alexander grew up in Gig Harbor, Washington and graduated from Gig Harbor High School. At Portland State, he majored in Social Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship. [5]
Jason Maas is the head coach of the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and a former Canadian football quarterback in the CFL. He is best known for his playing career with the Edmonton Eskimos where he won two Grey Cup championships. He also played for the Alouettes and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He has coached the Toronto Argonauts, Ottawa Redblacks, and Saskatchewan Roughriders and was the head coach of the Eskimos from 2016 to 2019.
Kevin Glenn, Jr. is a former American professional Canadian football quarterback. He was originally signed by the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) as an undrafted free agent in 2001. He played college football for the Illinois State Redbirds and high school football at Detroit St. Martin de Porres. Glenn is a journeyman quarterback who is the only player to ever have had his rights held by every team in the CFL.
Henry Armand Burris Jr. is a gridiron football coach, former professional quarterback, and a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame. He is currently a tight end coach for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL) and was formerly an offensive quality control coach for the Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars. Burris played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) from 1998 to 2016. He won three Grey Cup championships, two with the Calgary Stampeders, in 1998 and 2008, having spent 10 years of his career with them, and one with the Ottawa Redblacks in 2016. He was also a sports broadcaster and football analyst at TSN, appearing as a panel member on the network's CFL on TSN broadcasts.
Drew Tate is an American gridiron football coach and former player. He was most recently the receivers coach for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football as a quarterback at the University of Iowa and was signed by the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League (NFL) as an undrafted free agent in 2007. Tate has played professionally for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Calgary Stampeders and Ottawa Redblacks in the CFL. He was a defensive analyst at Coastal Carolina University in 2018, before coming out of retirement to rejoin the Roughriders. On December 17, 2018, Tate retired from playing and was named quarterbacks coach for the BC Lions the following day. He has also been a coach for the TSL Alphas, and at UT Martin and the University of Northern Iowa.
Khari Okang Jones is a former professional Canadian football player and was most recently the offensive coordinator and assistant head coach for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was formerly the head coach for the Montreal Alouettes. He is also a former television sports reporter for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). Jones played quarterback in the CFL, where he enjoyed his most success with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Jones also played briefly for the Arena Football League's Albany Firebirds and the World League of American Football's Scottish Claymores. He has also been the offensive coordinator for the BC Lions and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Quinton George Porter is a former American professional gridiron football quarterback. He was on the practice squad for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He was originally signed by the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at Boston College. Porter has also been a player with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL.
Barron Miles is a former professional Canadian football player who played for 12 years in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is the defensive coordinator for the Ottawa Redblacks of the CFL. Miles finished his career tied for second all-time in career interceptions with 66 and as the all-time leader in blocked kicks with 13. He was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
