Marcus Brady (born September 24, 1979) is an American football coach and former quarterback who is the passing game coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts from 2021 to 2022 and also served as an assistant coach for the Toronto Argonauts and Montreal Alouettes.
He played college football at California State University, Northridge and in 2002 was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Brady played for seven seasons in the CFL for the Toronto Argonauts, Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Montreal Alouettes.
Brady attended Cal State Northridge as a business major, where he started 43 straight games. He held his school's all-time lead for completions (1,036), attempts (1,677), yards (12,445) and touchdowns (109).
In 2002, Brady signed with the Toronto Argonauts as an undrafted free agent. He played with the Argonauts for two seasons.
In 2004, Brady was signed by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and played for two seasons with the team.
In 2006, Brady was acquired and signed by the Montreal Alouettes as a free agent. He backed up starter Anthony Calvillo and was used primarily for short yardage situations. He also punted for the Alouettes in place of Damon Duval. He retired on April 2, 2009.
Following his retirement as a football player, Brady began his coaching career and was hired by the Montreal Alouettes, his former team, to serve as their wide receivers coach in 2009. [1] Following the departure of Scott Milanovich, Brady was promoted to offensive coordinator on December 4, 2011. [2]
On December 3, 2012, Brady was hired to be the offensive coordinator of the Toronto Argonauts. [3]
In 2018, Brady was hired by the Indianapolis Colts as their assistant quarterbacks coach under head coach Frank Reich. In 2019, Brady was promoted to quarterbacks coach. On January 25, 2021, Brady was promoted to offensive coordinator, replacing Nick Sirianni, who departed to become head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. [4] [5] He was fired by the Colts on November 1, 2022, vacating his position as offensive coordinator. [6]
On November 22, 2022, ESPN reported that Brady had been hired by the Philadelphia Eagles as an offensive consultant. [7]
On February 28, 2023, Brady was hired by the Philadelphia Eagles as a senior offensive assistant under head coach Nick Sirianni. [8]
On February 8, 2024, Brady was named as passing game coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers under head coach Jim Harbaugh. [9]
Brady is married to his wife, Sherrie, and together they have a daughter, Saliyah, and a son, Aaden. Brady played basketball and baseball at Samuel F. B. Morse High School in San Diego.
Frank Michael Reich is an American former football player and coach in the National Football League (NFL). He played 14 seasons as a quarterback in the NFL. He became a coach afterwards, including head coaching stints with the Indianapolis Colts and Carolina Panthers.
Anthony Calvillo is an American coach and retired player of Canadian football. He is the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and a former professional Canadian football quarterback. He was professional football's all-time passing yards leader from 2011 to 2020, and is first in all-time CFL passing yards. In his career, he passed for 79,816 yards and is one of ten professional quarterbacks to have completed over 400 touchdown passes. His passing-yards reign ended in 2020 when Brees surpassed his record.
Jason Maas is the head coach of the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and a former Canadian football quarterback in the CFL. He is best known for his playing career with the Edmonton Eskimos where he won two Grey Cup championships. He also played for the Alouettes and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He has coached the Toronto Argonauts, Ottawa Redblacks, and Saskatchewan Roughriders and was the head coach of the Eskimos from 2016 to 2019.
Marc Marlyn Trestman is a Canadian football and American football coach. He led the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL) to back-to-back Grey Cup victories in 2009 and 2010, and another as head coach of the Toronto Argonauts in 2017. He was also named CFL Coach of the Year in 2009 and 2017.
Ryan Dinwiddie is the head coach of the Toronto Argonauts and is a former professional Canadian football quarterback. After playing college football at Boise State University, he went undrafted and signed with the Chicago Bears, however he was cut from their training camp. Dinwiddie later went on to play professionally for the Hamburg Sea Devils of NFL Europe, and also played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.

Scott Stewart Milanovich is an American professional football coach and former player who is the head coach for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was also the head coach of the Toronto Argonauts and Edmonton Football Team of the CFL. Milanovich has also held positional coaching roles in the NFL Europe and the National Football League (NFL).
Jacques Chapdelaine is a Canadian football coach and former professional slotback in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He most recently served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL. He has also served as the offensive coordinator for four other CFL teams, the head coach of the Montreal Alouettes (2016-17), and the head coach for two Canadian university football teams. He has won three Grey Cup championships as an assistant coach and one Vanier Cup as the head coach of the Laval Rouge et Or. Marcel Bellefeuille is a Canadian football coach who is the head coach of the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees and offensive coordinator for the Michigan Panthers. He originally began his coaching career with Ottawa in 1995 and won the program's second Vanier Cup championship in 2000. He then spent 16 years coaching in the Canadian Football League (CFL), including a stint as the head coach of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats from 2008 to 2011. Bellefeuille returned as head coach of the Gee-Gees in 2020.
