Philippe Gagnon (born August 21, 1992) is a Canadian professional football offensive lineman for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
Gagnon played CIS football for the Laval Rouge et Or where he was part of two Vanier Cup championship teams in 2012 and 2013.
Gagnon was drafted by the Montreal Alouettes with the second overall pick of the 2016 CFL Draft and was later signed by the team on May 25, 2016. [1] He played in three seasons for the Alouettes.
Upon becoming a free agent, Gagnon signed with the Ottawa Redblacks on February 13, 2019. [2] He played in nine games for the Redblacks in 2019 and started in eight. He was released on March 16, 2020. [3]
On March 19, 2020, it was announced the Gagnon had re-signed with the Alouettes on a one-year contract. [4] He re-signed with the team on December 17, 2020. [5]
Patrick Lavoie is a Canadian former professional football fullback who played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Montreal Alouettes, Ottawa Redblacks, Saskatchewan Roughriders and Toronto Argonauts. He won the Grey Cup with the Redblacks in 2016. He played CIS football for the Laval Rouge et Or and won Vanier Cup championships in 2008 and 2010.
Marcel Desjardins is a Canadian football executive who is currently the assistant to the general manager and player personnel for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He has also served as the general manager for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for two seasons and the Ottawa Redblacks for eight seasons. He is a four time Grey Cup champion, having won his first three with the Alouettes and his fourth with the Redblacks in 2016.
