The Saskatchewan Roughriders are a professional Canadian football team based in Regina, Saskatchewan. The Roughriders compete in the Canadian Football League (CFL) as a member club of the league's West Division.
The Regina Rams represent the University of Regina, located in Regina, Saskatchewan, in the sport of Canadian football in U Sports. The Rams joined U Sports in 1999 and have competed in the Canada West Conference since then. Matt O'Meara is a former professional Canadian football guard who played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. He was signed on for two years by the Roughriders as the third overall selection in the 2005 CFL Draft, with his position as offensive lineman on the injury reserve list for the team. He played CIS Football at his alumni McMaster University, his position being offensive tackle. While at McMaster University, he became the 2003/2004 OUA First Team All-Star. Weston Dressler is an American former professional Canadian football slotback who played for 11 years in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He spent the majority of his career with the Saskatchewan Roughriders with whom he won a Grey Cup championship in 2013. Dressler is a two-time CFL All-Star and a four-time CFL West All-Star and was named the CFL's Most Outstanding Rookie in 2008. He had also been a member of the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL) and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL). He played college football for the North Dakota Fighting Sioux.

William Ford is a former American football running back. He played college football at South Carolina State University and attended Travelers Rest High School in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. Ford was a CFL East Division All-Star in 2013 as a member of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He has also been a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL).

The 2021 Saskatchewan Roughriders season was the 63rd season for the team in the Canadian Football League. It was the club's 112th year overall, and its 105th season of play. Although the club failed to record a second consecutive first place finish in the West Division, the Roughriders qualified for the post-season for the fourth consecutive season of play on October 30, 2021 following a win over the Montreal Alouettes. After defeating the Calgary Stampeders in the West Semi-Final, the Roughriders then lost the West Final to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for the second consecutive season. This was the second season under head coach Craig Dickenson and general manager Jeremy O'Day.
