The 2024 Montreal Alouettes season was the 57th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 69th overall. The Alouettes entered the season as defending Grey Cup champions following their victory in the 110th Grey Cup game. While on a bye in week 13, the Alouettes clinched a playoff berth for the fifth consecutive season. [1] Following an Ottawa Redblacks loss in week 17, the Alouettes later clinched first place in the East Division for the first time since 2012. [2] However, the Alouettes lost to the Toronto Argonauts in the East Final.
The 2024 CFL season was the second season with Jason Maas as the team's head coach and the fourth season with Danny Maciocia as the team's general manager. [3] [4]

The Montreal Alouettes are a professional Canadian football team based in Montreal, Quebec. Founded in 1946, the team has folded and been revived twice. The Alouettes compete in the East Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and are the current Grey Cup champions, defeating the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the 110th Grey Cup Game in 2023. Their home field is Percival Molson Memorial Stadium for the regular season and as of 2014 also home of their playoff games.
The 2004 CFL season is considered to be the 51st season in modern-day Canadian football, although it is officially the 47th Canadian Football League season.
The 1986 CFL season is considered to be the 33rd season in modern-day Canadian football, although it is officially the 29th Canadian Football League season.
Jason Maas is the head coach of the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and a former Canadian football quarterback in the CFL. He is best known for his playing career with the Edmonton Eskimos where he won two Grey Cup championships. He also played for the Alouettes and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He has coached the Toronto Argonauts, Ottawa Redblacks, and Saskatchewan Roughriders and was the head coach of the Eskimos from 2016 to 2019.
Danny Maciocia is the general manager of the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was previously head coach of the Université de Montréal Carabins football team. He is also the former general manager and director of football operations of the CFL's Edmonton Eskimos and former offensive coordinator with the André-Grasset Phénix, a CEGEP team in Montreal.
The 2014 BC Lions season was the 57th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 61st overall. The Lions qualified for the playoffs for the 18th straight year. However, the team lost the East Semi-Final to the Montreal Alouettes by a score of 50–17.
The 2017 Toronto Argonauts season was the 60th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 145th season overall. The Argonauts finished the season in first place in the East Division and finished with a 9–9 record.

The 15 losses are a team record, breaking the previous record of 14 set during the 1986 season when the team record was 4–14 and during the 1982 season when they finished 2–14.
Sean Jamieson is a professional Canadian football offensive linemen who is a free agent. He most recently played for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He won a Grey Cup championship with the Alouettes in 2023.

Noel Thorpe is a professional Canadian football coach who is currently the defensive coordinator for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is a Grey Cup, Vanier Cup, and IFAF World Cup champion. He played college football for the St. Cloud State Huskies.
The 110th Grey Cup was played to determine the Canadian Football League (CFL) champion for the 2023 season. The game was played on November 19, 2023, at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario, between the West Division champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the East Division champion Montreal Alouettes. The Alouettes defeated the Blue Bombers, 28–24. It was the 12th time that Hamilton had hosted the Grey Cup, the previous having been in 2021.
The 2021 Montreal Alouettes season was the 54th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 66th overall. The Alouettes qualified for the playoffs on November 5, 2021, after the Hamilton Tiger-Cats defeated the BC Lions in week 14. The team's season was ended by the same Tiger-Cats following a 23–12 East Semi-Final loss in Hamilton.
The 2022 Montreal Alouettes season was the 55th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 67th overall. The Alouettes finished second in their division, an improvement on their third place finish in 2021 and qualified for the playoffs for the third consecutive season following the team's week 19 victory over the Ottawa Redblacks. However, after defeating the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the East Semi-Final, the team lost to the Toronto Argonauts in the East Final. The Alouettes held their training camp in Trois-Rivières at Stade Diablos.
Byron Archambault is a former professional gridiron football linebacker and is currently the special teams coordinator, linebackers coach, and director of player personnel for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL).

The Tiger-Cats qualified for the playoffs for the fifth consecutive year following their week 17 win over the Calgary Stampeders. The team attempted to win their ninth Grey Cup championship in a year that the club is scheduled to host the 110th Grey Cup, but were defeated in the East Semi-Final by the Montreal Alouettes.
