Jadaun (clan)

Jadaun also known Jadon is a Rajput clan of Indian origin. [1] [2] [3] They claim descent from the Yaduvanshi lineage of the Chandravanshi dynasty. [4] They further claim to be the descendants of Krishna. It is believed that once they ruled the state of Mathura and later shifted to Bayana and Karauli. [5] [6] [7] [8]

A sub-group of Charan Banjara caste is also known by the name Jadon. [9]
