James Teeple is an American politician and member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from the 116th District,which encompasses portions of Charleston &Colleton Counties. He currently serves on the Education &Public Works Committee along with the Regulations,Administrative Procedures,Artificial Intelligence &Cybersecurity Committee where he is chairman of the Education &Administrative Subcommittee. Teeple is a life member of the House Republican Caucus.
In September 2023,Republican incumbent Matt Leber announced his candidacy for South Carolina State Senate District 41. [1] Teeple announced his run for the seat held by the incumbent shortly afterward.

James Enos Clyburn is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for South Carolina's 6th congressional district. First elected in 1992,Clyburn is in his 17th term,representing a congressional district that includes most of the majority-black precincts in and around Columbia and Charleston,as well as most of the majority-black areas outside Beaufort and nearly all of South Carolina's share of the Black Belt.
