Heather Bauer is an American politician of the Democratic Party. She is the member of the South Carolina House of Representatives representing District 75.
Bauer had previously run for a Columbia City Council At-Large seat. [1]
In the 2022 general election for South Carolina House of Representatives District 75, Bauer defeated Republican Kirkman Finlay III, [2] who had been a member of the South Carolina House since 2012. Bauer was outraised by Finlay, [3] [4] but prevailed due to public concern about women's reproductive rights. [5] [6]

In June 2024, former South Carolina House District 75 incumbent Kirkman Finlay defeated Tracy Robins in the Republican primary, and challenged Bauer. [9] [10] Finlay received the endorsement of House Speaker Murrell Smith Jr. [11] Bauer defeated Finlay in the general election. [12]
