Jason Joseph (born 11 October 1998) is a Swiss athlete specialising in the sprint hurdles. He won a gold medal in the 60 metres hurdles at the 2023 European Indoor Championships. [2] He has been the national champion in the 110 metres hurdles ever since 2019, earning the title consecutively five times in a row, and holds national records in both events. He also reached the semi-finals of the 2020 Olympics.
Jason Joseph was born on 11 October 1998 in Basel, Switzerland to a Caribbean-Swiss family. Initially, he showed interest in sports such as football, breakdancing, and martial arts, as opposed to athletics. He began athletics at age 11 and it started to grow on him slowly, over the years, as time passed. [3]
He represented his country at the 2018 World Indoor Championships without advancing from the first round. Earlier he won a gold medal at the 2017 European U20 Championships. Prior to 2023: His personal bests are 13.12 seconds in the 110 metres hurdles (+0.7 m/s, La Chaux-de-Fonds 2021) and 7.56 seconds in the 60 metres hurdles (St.Gallen 2019).
March 2023 he won the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 7.41 for a new PB. [4]

Colin Ray Jackson, is a Welsh former sprint and hurdling athlete who specialised in the 110 metres hurdles. During a career in which he represented Great Britain and Wales, he won an Olympic silver medal, became world champion twice, world indoor champion once, was undefeated at the European Championships for 12 years and was twice Commonwealth champion. His world record of 12.91 seconds for the 110 m hurdles stood for over 10 years and his 60 metres hurdles world record stood for nearly 27 years.
Roger Kingdom is an American former sprint hurdler who was twice Olympic champion in the 110 meters. Kingdom set a world record of 12.92 in 1989. He is now an athletics coach and strength and conditioning coach who currently works as a speed and conditioning coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL.
Liu Xiang is a Chinese former 110 meter hurdler. Liu is an Olympic Gold medalist and World Champion. His 2004 Olympic gold medal was the first in a men's track and field event for China.
Susanna Elisabeth "Sanna" Kallur is a Swedish former athlete competing mainly in sprint hurdles. She has won several international medals, including the gold medal in the 100 m hurdles at the 2006 European Athletics Championships. Kallur previously held the world indoor record for the 60 metres hurdles for 16 years (2008-2024).
Jason Richardson is an American track and field athlete who specializes in the 110 meter hurdles. He won the gold medal in the 110 meter hurdles at the 2011 World Championships in Daegu, and the silver medal in the same event at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. His personal best for the event is 12.98 seconds, set in June 2012 at the U.S. Olympic Trials.
David Oliver, is the Director of Track & Field at Howard University and a retired American hurdling athlete. As a professional athlete, he competed in the 110 meter hurdles event outdoor and the 60 meter hurdles event indoors. He is the former 110 meter hurdles champion winning the gold medal at the World Championships in Moscow in 2013 with a time of 13 seconds. He won the bronze medal in the 2008 Olympic Games and won another bronze at the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships.

Mujinga Kambundji is a Swiss sprinter. She won the bronze medal in the 200 metres at the 2019 World Championships. Kambundji is the 60 metres 2022 World indoor champion, becoming the joint fourth-fastest woman of all time in the event, after earning a bronze in 2018. She is a three-time European Championships medallist, with gold for the 200 m and silver for the 100 m in 2022, and bronze for the 100 m in 2016. At the European Indoor Championships, she earned gold in the 60 m in 2023 and bronze in 2017.

Reetta Sofi Kaarina Hurske is a Finnish athlete specialising in the sprint hurdles. She won the gold medal in the 60 metres hurdles at the 2023 European Indoor Championships, winning Finland its first ever medal in this event, after finishing fourth at the 2019 edition.
