Jesse Bobbit is an American football coach who is the defensive coordinator for the South Dakota State Jackrabbits football team.

Playing career

Bobbit grew up in Palatine, Illinois and attended Palatine High School. [1]

Bobbit played college football at South Dakota State and was a starter at linebacker for his final three seasons. He was named second-team all-Missouri Valley Football Conference as a senior after making 110 tackles. [2]

Coaching career

Bobbit began his coaching career in 2017 as an assistant at Bellevue West High School in Bellevue, Nebraska. After two years at Bellevue West he returned to South Dakota State as a graduate assistant. Bobbit spent one season on the Jackrabbits' staff before being hired in the same role at Washington State. [3]

Bobbit was hired as the safeties coach at South Dakota State before the start of the 2022 season. [4] He was promoted to defensive coordinator in 2023. [5]

Jason John Gesser is an American college football former player and assistant athletic director who is currently the offensive coordinator at Seton Catholic High School in Vancouver, Washington. He played quarterback for Washington State Cougars, Utah Blaze of the Arena Football League (AFL), Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). Tracy Lee Claeys is a former American football coach. Claeys served as the head football coach at University of Minnesota from midway into the 2015 season through the end of the 2016 season. He returned to South Dakota State in 2013 as linebackers coach, later receiving a promotion to defensive coordinator in 2019, the position he served in until being named head coach in 2023. He closed his first season as Jackrabbit head coach by leading his team to the NCAA Division 1 FCS National Championship in Frisco, TX, January 7, 2024.

Garret Greenfield is an American football offensive tackle for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the South Dakota State Jackrabbits and was signed by the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent after the 2024 NFL draft.
