Jim Ronny Andersen (born 4 May 1975) is a Norwegian badminton player. He is the bronze medalists at the 2011 and 2015 World Senior Championships in the men's singles 35+ event. [1]

Career

Andersen played badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics in men's singles, defeating Pedro Yang of Guatemala in the first round. In the round of 16, Andersen was defeated by Soni Dwi Kuncoro of Indonesia. [2] In his home country he won 16 titles at the Norwegian National Championships.

Martin Lundgaard Hansen is a badminton player from Denmark. He started his career in badminton as a singles player, and competed in the 1993 IBF World Championships. But as the years went by, he made a choice to play doubles. Teamed-up with Lars Paaske, they emerged as the men's doubles champion at the 1999, 2001 Denmark Open, and in 2000, he and Paaske participated at the Olympic Games. The career highlights for Hansen was when he partnered with Jens Eriksen. The duo won the 2004 and 2006 All England Open, won gold at the European Championships, and was at the time a half years as No.1 in the world.

The Asian island nation of the Maldives competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London from 27 July to 12 August 2012. This was the nation's seventh consecutive appearance at the Olympics, the delegation consisted of two athletes each in track and field and swimming. For the first time since their debut at the Summer Olympics, the Maldives entered one badminton player into the Olympics. Mohamed Ajfan Rasheed, the inaugural Maldivian badminton player to compete at the Olympics, was the nation's flag bearer at the opening ceremony with Azneem Ahmed carrying the Maldivian flag in the closing ceremony. All the athletes qualified for the games through wild cards from International Association of Athletic Federations FINA and Badminton World Federation. The Maldives however, has yet to win its first ever Olympic medal.

Marius Myhre Fartum is a Norwegian badminton player.
