Jireh Otto Micky Westerlund (born 8 August 2002) is a Samoan athlete who has represented Samoa at the Pacific Mini Games. [1]

Westerlund is from Taufusi and Lalovaea and was educated at St. Joseph's College. [2] In August 2021 he was awarded the Most Valuable Player at the annual Champion of Champions school athletics competition. [2]

At the 2022 Pacific Mini Games in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands he won bronze in the 110 metres hurdles, [3] 400 metres hurdles, [4] and 4 × 400 metres relay.

She represented Great Britain at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, and won an Olympic bronze medal in the 4 x 400 metres relay at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro. Individually, she is the 2014 European Champion and a three-time Commonwealth silver medalist in the 400 metres hurdles.

Muizat Ajoke Odumosu Alademerin is a Nigerian track and field athlete who specialises in the 400 metres and the 400 metres hurdles. She was the bronze medallist at the 2007 All-Africa Games and went on to become the continental champion with a win at the 2008 and 2012 African Championships.

Australia competed at the 2019 Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa. A team of 42 athletes represented the country for Australia's second appearance at the Pacific Games. Australia competed in six sports.

Athletics was one of the 26 sports contested at the 2019 Pacific Games hosted by Samoa. The track and field events were held at Apia Park on 15–20 July, with the half marathon staged on a course at the Apia waterfront on 20 July. Forty-nine athletics events were contested at the games, including six parasport events.

The South Pacific Athletics Championships were an international athletics competition between island nations of the South Pacific Ocean. The championships was contested on three occasions: it was first held in 1976, had its second edition in 1978, then its final edition in 1984. Ten nations won medals at the competition during its lifetime. The competition emerged as a single-sport championship following in the footsteps of the region's multi-sport event established in 1963: the South Pacific Games. The athletics competition declined with the emergence of the South Pacific Mini Games in 1981, which was a smaller-scale event with athletics as its core sport.
