Born in Lixnaw, County Kerry, Griffin first played competitive hurling in his youth. He arrive don the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Kerry minor team before later joining the under-21 side. He made his senior debut during the 2006 league. Griffin quickly became a regular member of the starting fifteen and has won two Christy Ring Cup medals and two National Hurling League medals in the lower divisions. He has been a Christy Ring runner-up on three occasions.
At the international level Griffin has played for the composite rules shinty-hurling team, winning a championship medal in 2009. At club level he is a three-time championship medallist with Lixnaw. As a Gaelic footballer Griffin is a one-time All-Ireland medallist with Finuge in the junior grade. He has also won three Munster medals and three championship medals in the intermediate and junior grades.
Back in 2003 Tweek was linked romantically to Katie Price better known as Jordan. Having met at the Rose of Tralee. He was quoted in a local newspaper as saying it was her lovely pair of eyes that really made him fall for her. Unfortunately for Tweek Jordan could not settle in Lixnaw and it was a brief but enjoyable relationship.

Finuge is a Gaelic Athletic Association club from Finuge, County Kerry, Ireland. The senior team currently compete in the Kerry Junior Football Championship. They also form part of the Feale Rangers divisional team that play in the Kerry Senior Football Championship. Many of the players also play hurling with Lixnaw in the Kerry Senior Hurling Championship. Players from the club have won a total of 14 Senior All-Ireland Gaelic football medals. The club also supplied the Kerry GAA senior team manager from 2012-2018, Éamonn Fitzmaurice. After he took over from Jack O'Connor, he became the youngest ever Kerry manager at 35. Fitzmaurice managed Kerry to All Ireland glory, winning the Sam Maguire in 2014, whilst also winning one National League, six Munster Championships and two McGrath Cups.
Maurice Leahy is an Irish former hurling manager and former player. He played hurling with his local club Causeway and with the Kerry senior inter-county team from 1977 until 1989. Leahy later served as manager of the Kerry senior inter-county hurling team on six separate occasions.
Pat Kenneally is a former Irish sportsperson. He played hurling with his local club Newcestown and with the Cork senior inter-county teams in the 1990s. Kenneally captained Cork in 1995, however, he enjoyed little success with the senior team. He continued to play with the more junior teams on his club for some years after. He played in four County Finals for his club He also won the Man of the Match award when playing in the 1994 county success with his division Carbery which allowed him to achieve the honour of captaining his county in the 1995 Senior Hurling campaign.

The club fields Gaelic football, hurling and camogie teams in competitions organized by Cork GAA county board and the Muskerry divisional board. Éamonn Fitzmaurice is an Irish former Gaelic football manager and player. He played at senior level for the Kerry county team and later managed it between 2012 and 2018, during which time he became a member of an exclusive club of people to have won All-Ireland SFC titles as a player and as a manager.
Castlemartyr GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the village of Castlemartyr, Cork, Republic of Ireland. The club fields teams in both Gaelic football and hurling. It is a member of the Imokilly division of Cork GAA.

Darren Dineen is a hurler from County Kerry. He plays hurling with Kerry and St Brendan's, Ardfert and also plays football with Ardfert. In 2011 he helped Kerry win their first Christy Ring Cup when they beat Wicklow in the final. He played in the 2013 final but lost out to Down, he later won a Christy Ring All Star.
