Axim is a coastal town and the capital of Nzema East Municipal district, a district in Western Region of South Ghana. Axim lies 64 kilometers west of the port city of Sekondi-Takoradi in the Western Region, west of Cape Three Points. Axim has a 2013 settlement population of 27,719 people.
The Western Region is located in south Ghana, spreads from the Ivory Coast in the west to the Central region in the east, includes the capital and large twin city of Sekondi-Takoradi on the coast, coastal Axim, and a hilly inland area including Elubo. It includes Ghana's southernmost location, Cape Three Points, where crude oil was discovered in commercial quantities in June 2007. The region covers an area of 13,842 sq. km, and had a population of 2,060,585 at the 2021 Census.
Nkroful is a village in the Ellembelle District, a district in the Western Region of south Ghana, located near Axim in the Nzema East Municipal of the Western Region.

Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Wassa Amenfi District in 1988, which was created from the former Aowin-Amenfi District Council, until eastern part of the district was split off to create Wassa Amenfi East District in August 2004; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Wassa Amenfi West District. Later, another part of the district was split off to create Wassa Amenfi Central District on 28 June 2012; thus the remaining part has been retained as Wassa Amenfi West District. However, on 15 March 2018, it was later elevated to municipal district assembly status to become Wassa Amenfi West Municipal District. The municipality is located in the northern part of Western Region and has Asankragua as its capital town.

Nzulezo is a village located near the village of Beyin, 90 kilometers west of Takoradi, in the Jomoro District jomoro the Western Region of Ghana. Over 500 people live in the community.

Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Wassa West District in 1988, which was created from the former Wassa-Fiase-Mpohor District Council, until the northern part of the district was split off to create Prestea-Huni Valley District on 29 February 2008; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Tarkwa-Nsuaem District, which was later elevated to municipal district assembly status on that same year to become Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal District. The municipality is located in the eastern part of Western Region and has Tarkwa as its capital town.

Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Nzema East District in 1988, which was created from the former Nzema District Council, until the western part of the district was split off by a decree of then-president John Agyekum Kufuor on 29 February 2008 to create Ellembelle District; thus the remaining part has been retained as Nzema East District. The district assembly is located in the southwest part of Western Region and has Nkroful as its capital town.

Ga West Municipal District is one of the twenty-nine districts in Greater Accra Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Ga District in 1988, until the eastern part of the district was split off to create Ga East District in 2004; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Ga West District. Later, the western part of the district was split off to create the first Ga South Municipal District on 29 February 2008, with Weija as its capital town; while Ga West was later elevated to municipal district assembly status during that same year to become Ga West Municipal District. However on 15 March 2018, the eastern part of the district has split off to create Ga North Municipal District, thus the remaining part has been retained as Ga West Municipal District. The municipality is located in the western part of Greater Accra Region and has Amasaman as its capital town.

Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Kwahu South District in 1988, which was created from the former Kwahu District Council, until the southwest part of the district was split off to create Kwahu West District in August 2004; which it later was elevated to municipal district assembly status on 1 July 2007 to become Kwahu West Municipal District. The municipality is located in the western part of Eastern Region and has Nkawkaw as its capital town.
Half Assini, also known as Awiane, is a small town and is the capital of Jomoro Municipal District, a municipality in the Western Region of Ghana. It is the hometown of Kwame Nkrumah's father. Krumah, the first president of Ghana, had attended elementary school at Half Assini. The town in closer to the western border of Ghana, and is known for its numerous tourist sites. One of Half Assini's chiefs, Anthony Kwaw, was best friends with Ghana's first president in school.
Tema Metropolitan District is one of the twenty-nine districts in Greater Accra Region, Ghana. Originally created as a municipal district assembly in 1988 when it was known as Tema Municipal District, which was created from the former Tema District Council, until two parts of the district were later split off to create Adenta Municipal District and Ashaiman Municipal District respectively on 29 February 2008; thus the remaining part was elevated to metropolitan district assembly status on that same year to become Tema Metropolitan District. However on 28 June 2012, the eastern part of the district was split off to create Kpone-Katamanso District ; thus the remaining part has been retained as Tema Metropolitan District. Later on 15 March 2018, a small western portion of the district was split off to create Tema West Municipal District; thus the remaining part has been retained as Tema Metropolitan District. The metropolis is located in the central part of Greater Accra Region and has Tema as its capital town.
The Western North Region is one of the six new regions of Ghana created in 2019. The region is bounded by the Ivory Coast on the west, the Central region in the southeast, and the Ashanti, Ahafo, Bono East and Bono regions in the north. The Western North Region has the highest rainfall in Ghana, lush green hills, and fertile soils. There are numerous small and large-scale gold mines companies in the region. The ethnic culture of the region is dominated by the Sefwis. The main languages spoken are Sefwi, Akan, French and English.

However on 1988, it was split off into two new district assemblies: Jomoro District and Nzema East District. The district council was located in the southern part of Western Region and had Half Assini as its capital town.
