Agona Nkwanta is the capital of Ahanta West District in Ghana.
Agona, also known as Agona Junction or Agona Nkwanta, is 7 km inland and along the Takoradi and Tarkwa road, with a branch road off to Dixcove, Achowa, Akwidaa and Busua. According to the Ghana Statistical Service's 2010 Population and Housing Census, the population of Agona Nkwanta was 14,104. [1]
The only Senior High school in Agona is Baidoo Bonsoe Senior High Technical School. [2] Agona is one of the fasted growing towns in the Western Region according to studies.[ citation needed ]
Sekondi-Takoradi is a city in Ghana comprising the twin cities of Sekondi and Takoradi. It is the capital of Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan District and the Western Region of Ghana. Ahanta West Municipal District is one of the fourteen districts in Western Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988 when it was known as Ahanta West District, which was created from the former Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Authority Council, until it was later elevated to municipal district assembly status on 15 March 2018 to become Ahanta West Municipal District. The municipality is located in the southeast part of Western Region and has Agona Nkwanta as its capital town.

The Treaty of Butre between the Netherlands and Ahanta was signed at Butre, Dutch Gold Coast on 27 August 1656. The treaty regulated the jurisdiction of the Netherlands and the Dutch West India Company over the town of Butre and the surrounding country of Upper Ahanta, creating a Dutch protectorate over the area, and permitting the establishment of Fort Batenstein. The treaty lasted until the Dutch departure from the Gold Coast in April 1872.

Adidome is a small town and is the capital of Central Tongu district, a district in the Volta Region of Ghana. According to the Ghana Statistical Service 2010 Population and Housing Census, the population of Adidome was 7,587. The distance from Adidome to Ghana's capital, Accra is approximately 144 km. The town has a Senior High School called Adidome Senior High School. Adidome is not only noted for its Senior High School but also the Adidome Farm Institute.
Kpandai District is one of the sixteen districts in Northern Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger East Gonja District in 1988, until the eastern part of the district was split off by a decree of president John Agyekum Kufuor on 29 February 2008 to create Kpandai District.; thus the remaining part has been retained as East Gonja Municipal District. Kpassa is the capital of Nkwanta North District, a district in the Oti Region of Ghana. The Oti Region was part of the Volta Region of Ghana until 2019. The indigenous inhabitants of Kpassa are mainly Konkombas. In the past, the inhabitants of Kpassa have mainly engaged in farming. This trend has changed during the past two decades. Younger inhabitants are actively pursuing education and small-scale business activities, while the older ones are into governance. As a result, Kpassa has undergone rapid expansion during these past two decades. The town is expected to expand further once the Eastern Corridor Road Project is completed. In terms of architecture, a returning visitor will easily noticed that the town is rapidly shifting from mud buildings or atakpame to modern block buildings. In fact, most people in the town attach this shift to prestige and affluence in the society. At the current rate, one is expected to find fewer atakpame buildings a decade in the future. The economy of Kpassa is critical to the Volta Region, owing to its engagement in the production of valuable agricultural products such as corn, yam, cassava, millet, groundnuts, pepper, soya beans, and beans, among others.
Duayaw Nkwanta is a town and the capital of Tano North Municipal District, a municipal in the Ahafo Region of Ghana. It is located close to Sunyani, the capital of Bono Region. The infrastructure of Duayaw Nkwanta is well structured. Duayaw Nkwanta has a settlement population of 27,476. This town boast of good schools such as: Boakye Tromo Senior High Technical School, Serwaa Kesse Girls Senior High School, Presbyterian Midwifery Training College among others.

Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Authority is a former district council that was located in Western Region, Ghana. Originally created as an district council in 1975. However on 1988, it was split off into two new district assemblies: Shama Ahanta East Metropolitan District and Ahanta West District. The district council was located in the southeast part of Western Region and had Sekondi-Takoradi as its capital town.
Baidoo Bonsoe Senior High Technical School is a secondary school in Agona Nkwanta, the capital of Ahanta West Municipal District in Ghana. The School was established in 1990 as a community day school but it obtained its boarding status in 2006. Students of the school are called Boscans. The school offers seven (7) courses. The school is a mixed gender, category C school with day and boarding status.
