Duayaw Nkwanta is a town and the capital of Tano North Municipal District, a municipal in the Ahafo Region of Ghana. It is located close to Sunyani, the capital of Bono Region. [2] The infrastructure of Duayaw Nkwanta is well structured. Duayaw Nkwanta has a settlement population of 27,476. [1] This town boast of good schools such as: Boakye Tromo Senior High Technical School, Serwaa Kesse Girls Senior High School, Presbyterian Midwifery Training College among others. [3] [4]

Health

Duayaw Nkwanta has one of the best hospitals in Brong-Ahafo. [5] It is known as the Saint John of God Hospital. [5] The hospital has an excellent orthopaedic centre. [5] It is rated among the top three in Ghana. [5]

Education

Duayaw Nkwanta is also known for the Boakye Tromo Secondary Technical School. It also has a female girls' Senior High School known as, Serwah Kesse High School. Formerly, it was a mixed school by the name of Duayaw-Nkwanta Secondary School, St. John of God College of Health, Presbyterian Midwifery. [6] [7] [8]

Tano South Municipal District is one of the six districts in Ahafo Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Tano District in 1988, until the western part of the district was split off to create Tano North District in December 2004; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Tano South District. It was later elevated to municipal district assembly status in April 2018 to become Tano South Municipal District. The municipality is located in the eastern part of Ahafo Region and has Bechem as its capital town.

Agogo is a town in the Asante Akim North Municipal District of the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Agogo is approximately 80 kilometers east of Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Region, and had a population of 28,271 in the 2000 census. Computer projections estimate that the 2007 population was 32,859.

The Community Health Nurses' & Midwifery Training College is public tertiary health education institution in Tanoso in the Ahafo Region of Ghana. The college is in the Tano North District. The activities of the institution are supervised by the Ministry of Health.

Bechem is a town and is the capital of Tano South district of the Ahafo of Ghana, and Bechem is the district capital for the Tano South Constituency. Bechem is located close to the capital town of Bono, Sunyani. The town is known for the Bechem Presbyterian Secondary School. The school is a second cycle institution. The town has one of the best teacher training colleges in the country known as St. Joseph college (JOSCO) and it has two villages known to be Techimantia and Derma which both stand tall when it comes to tomato production in the country.

Bimbilla is the capital town of Nanumba North District, a district in the Northern Region of Ghana. It is located in the East of the region, and is near the Oti River. The location is situated within the range of 8.5° north to 9.25° north latitude, and between 0.57° east to 0.5° east longitude. It borders five municipalities: Yendi Municipal to the north, Mion Municipal to the northwest, East Gonja Municipal to the west and southwest, Nanumba South Municipal to the south and east, and Zabzugu Municipal to the north-northeast.

St. Joseph's College of Education is a teacher education college in Bechem. The college is located in Ashanti / Brong Ahafo zone. It is one of the about 40 public colleges of education in Ghana. The college participated in the DFID-funded T-TEL programme. It was established in 1948 by Rev. Fr. Joseph Moulders. It is the first training college in the Brong-Ahafo Region and attained accreditation status in 2007.It is affiliated to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

However, on 17 February 2004, it was split off into two new districts: Tano South District and Tano North District. The district assembly was located in the southwest part of Brong-Ahafo Region and had Bechem as its capital town.

Serwaa Kesse Girls' Senior High School is a female public school located in Duayaw Nkwanta in the Tano North Municipal District in the Ahafo Region of Ghana. In September 2022, they emerged as winners in the 2022 National Business Pitch Competition which was held in Accra.
